Me: Hey, guys. I just want to congratulate Death Battle for 10 years of doing this series so, what better way to review each premier of each season. 10 episodes & the score will be in the percentage range:
100%-90% means an A(I love it)
90%-80% means a B(I like it)
80%-70% means a C(It's ok)
70%-60% means a D(Might needs works/I'm not interested)
60% or below means an F(I hated it)
Me: Here is how I score each part of the episode: There are 4 sections: The left opponent, the right opponent, the fight, & the conclusion. They will be ranked out of 5, the episode total will be out of 20, I will times it by 5, & the percentages will be the grade. I will type some key examples about it & judge how the episode is. REMEMBER, This is only premiers. Let's do this!
S1: Boba Fett vs Samus Aran (2010)
Me: Wow. the first episode didn't age that much. Both Boba Fett's & Samus Aran's analysis was in the middle for me. The fight got me liking it except the death. I know this is the first episode, but ice-shattering would have worked. The conclusion of an anti-vehicle missile didn't hit a moving target sounds weird using just a car. Overall, this S1 Death Battle did or didn't help much to the score so here it is. Boba: 3/5, Samus: 3/5, Fight: 4/5, Conclusion: 2/5. This episode scored 12 out of 20, which means it is 60%(D). It does need some work done & yeah, I am aware of the remastered version, but I am not reviewing that.
S2: He-Man vs Lion-O
Me: Wow... Just, wow... I forgot about the magic of the 80s when it comes to writing. & I was born in the early-mid 90s. Both He-man's analysis & Lion-O's analysis are fun with the jokes of the lazy writing magic. The fight scene... I like it. The setup is understandable, but that He-Man moment before the fight was a bit... meme. The moment He-Man lifted that mountain stole the highlight of the season. I am not sure about the others. Now, the Overall Score. He-Man:4/5. Lion-O: 4/5. Fight: 4/5. Conclusion: 3/5. This episode is 15 out of 20, which means it is 75%(C). It is ok, it does ooze the 80s charm that does make it enjoyable to check out shows from there & relearning lessons from that time.
S3: Dante vs Bayonetta
Me: This season death battle has started it off with a bang.
Yang: I always start this season with a YANG. Eh?
I disappointingly look at her.
Me: Anyway... This premier got me interested in playing their games.
Yang: Really? What game did you play first?
Me: Bayonetta 2.
Yang: Really? On the Switch?
Me: Bayonetta 2 came out on the Wii U first, before both Bayonetta & Bayonetta 2 were ported on the Switch.
Yang: Oh.
Me: Back to the review, Dante's analysis & Bayonetta's analysis is good, I found out that they are on point with the weapons, who they are, what are their powers, & their weakness. As for the fight... Holy Jesus. The fight is amazing. & their friends join in the battle. There are some wrongs here & there, but the good far outweighs the bad. This battle might be my favorite match-up, right next to Ratchet & Clank vs Jax & Daxter. This may be my favorite premier.
