(Y/N)=Your Name

Today was the day. Antonio's 5th birthday ceremony. As stated yesterday, Abuela had decided to host a private ceremony, only inviting a certain amount of people to attend. It was early morning, and almost everyone had gone out to do their part in the town. Everyone, except Camilo, who was currently stuck at the casita with Luisa keeping "guard". He was sitting in front of his door, his knees up to his chest with an irritated look on his face. Luisa, standing right next to Camilo with her arms crossed, glances down at her cousin with sympathy, watching as he plays with a loose string that was connected to his poncho. She sighs heavily, looking away and staring at the floor. "I'm sorry about last night."

"You're not the one that needs to be sorry." Camilo scoffs, shaking his head slightly. Luisa slumps her shoulders, glancing back at him. "You know Abuela cares about you." She says. Camilo snaps his head towards her angrily. "Did you not see what she did!? If she cares about me, she has a messed up way of showing it." He says, throwing his hands in the air. "Look what she's making you do, Luisa. You're a grown woman, and she bosses you around like you're still a child. She does that with everyone. My mom is 50. 50! The only thing Abuela cares about is this house." Camilo pats the wall. "No offense, Casita."

Luisa's at a loss for words, crossing her arms tighter. "I-I just wanna make her proud of me, Camilo..." She mumbles, hanging her head low, a strand of hair falling over her face. "That's what everyone wants. But have you ever heard her say she's proud of you? The only person she favors is Isabella, and that's probably because she forces her to be picture perfect." Camilo says, leaning his back against his door. "Aren't you tired of carrying everything?"

Luisa shakes her head, cocking a brow at him. "No? I'm super strong, remember?" She flexes one of her bicep muscles. Camilo rolls his eyes. "I'm talking about emotionally, Luisa. The weight of Abuela's expectations, it doesn't get to you?" He questions, gazing up at her. Luisa looks troubled, lost in her thoughts. She ponders for a moment, giving a little shrug. "Well, maybe sometimes..."

"You don't gotta lie." He says. There's a long pause of silence, only the sound of chirping birds interrupting every few seconds. It stayed like that for a good minute or two before Luisa spoke up again. "It does." She chokes out sadly, her bottom lip quivering slightly, looking as if she was holding back tears. Luisa covers her eyes with her hand, letting out a small sob as the tears start to gradually fall. Camilo frowns, getting up from his spot on the floor and going over to his cousin, wrapping his arms around her comfortingly. She almost instantly hugs him back tightly, lifting him off the ground. Camilo yelps, the air suddenly leaving his lungs. He coughs, struggling to pat Luisa's back. "I-It's okay to cry, let it out." He manages to speak out hoarsely. Luisa sobs a bit harder, gently setting Camilo back onto the ground. She sniffles, wiping the tears off her cheek with her wrist. "Sorry..." She mutters. Camilo, trying to catch his breath, waves his hand in disregard. "Don't be. I figured that's how you were feeling." He says, smiling at her. Smiling back, she sits down crisscrossed, Camilo, joining beside her. She looks away again, as if she wants to say something but doesn't know how to word it. Eventually, she turns her whole body towards Camilo. "So...i-is that how you feel about Abuela too?" She questions, resting her hands on her knees.

Camilo nods. Luisa sighs, closing her eyes as she does. She opens them, staring directly at him. "Tell me about (Y/N). What's special about him?" Luisa asks with genuine interest and shifts in her seat. She's met you before, obviously, but she never really got to know you. She wanted to understand Camilo's feelings towards you, and if they justified his antics lately. From then, Camilo went over every little thing he loved about you. He told Luisa about how you two spend your time together and how well you treat him. Luisa listened to the stories Camilo told her, awing once in a while when he had said something cute about you. After about half an hour of chatting, Camilo shrugs, clasping his hands together and rocking his body back and forth slightly. "But, yeah. There's a lot more I can say about him, but I think you've heard me run my mouth enough for today." He chuckles, but it slowly turns into a bittersweet one. Luisa places a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it. "He sounds like a nice guy, Camilo. He really does..."
