Rain

I felt as the rain splashed against my face,

Calming my heart as it stopped its race.

The soothing sound washed away my fear,

As the knowing death came close and near.

The tiny water drop-lets wouldn't calm my mind,

As it dug into a seemingly 'interesting' find.

I sat as the darkness flooded over my body,

Into the void of cuts, welcoming me into its lobby.

I walked in, knowing I would find this place in a later time.

I sat in bed, waiting for the long beep to end my line.
