"Something seemed to have happened, we can't get close enough to get a clear vision. Oh my! Is that a pool of blood?!?!?" Ladybug could hear Nadia's voice very clearly as the podcast was being displayed on every available screen in Paris. Trying to hold back tears she clutched her wounded partner in her arms and took off once again through the rooftops in hopes to reach the hospital in time.

"We're not gonna make it just let me be" she could hear Chat Noir say even though it was barely more than a whisper.

"Don't say that we'll keep going, I won't stop" Ladybug choked out through the urge of crying.

Ladybug's legs ached with every step that she took, her mind told her to stop but her body and heart wouldn't listen.

They weren't gonna make it, and both teenagers knew...

No matter how fast she ran that night they still wouldn't have made it, they were fighting against fate itself. Ladybug's already injured body couldn't take it.

"This isn't FAIR" Ladybug said though having to yell out the last word.

"I know this isn't fair but there's nothing we can do, this is the end it's how it's supposed to end. You have to accept the fact that we're fighting against fate" Chat Noir managed to say out loud as the two are now in the middle of an empty street. Rain was pouring on them but at this moment all they wanted was each other.

The two stayed there, that's all they wanted, to have this last moment last forever. She cried onto his shoulder, ladybug started to accept this.

"Hey, have I told you that I love you?" Chat whispered out causing ladybug to let out a small chuckle.

"You did, many times" She said. "I love you" she then whispered. All Chat could do now was smile. "How can you smile chat? how can you accept this so quickly?"

"I finally got everything I wanted, I made up with my friend, I could live freely, you spent time with me, remember Marinette? I built a good relationship with her. Most importantly I'm happy about right now, I'm gonna die, did you know that my wish from the other night was to have you by my side till death. Guess that's true" Chat said to ladybug.

"Thank you for everything chat"

"I'll be fine, I promise, it was good while it lasted,"Chat said.

Ladybug cried, she was glad that it was raining, or else he would see how much she really was crying. She held on to him closely and felt his heartbeat starting to fade. Time seemed to have stopped making this more hard to ladybug to live through as her she felt her partner's last breath skim past her cheeks. There was nothing to do, she just clutched tightly to his corpse and cried in the rain. No one would know how long she was there, alone with no one to comfort her.

In a distance she would hear sirens, she waited to see which direction it would go, it started getting louder and louder until she would see the lights from the hood of the car come towards her and Chat.

"I'm so sorry ladybug" she could hear Nadia say. Ladybug knew that now was the time, she had to let him go. Ladybug stood there under Nadia's umbrella and watched as they took away his body. She slowly walked away and back home after a few moments more of silence when the people left with Chat's body.

Every step was painful, this time not from the wounds are her body but because every inch of Paris reminded her of Chat Noir. After what seemed like forever she finally circled around the curve to her parent's bakery to find her parents still there.

"Ladybug?!?" Her mother, Sabine said as she saw the hero in red and black enter her store.

"Have you seen my daughter? Marinette???" Sabine asked, "what's wrong sweetie?" Sabine asked after noticing the emotionless expression worn by Ladybug.

"He's gone mom" Ladybug said out loud.

"Excuse me?" Sabine said confused to why ladybug, the hero of Paris called her 'mom'

"Spots off" Ladybug said softly and received a gasp from her mom.

"Marinette?" she heard someone say from behind her. "Where were you, you're ladybug? Why didn't you tell us?" Tom, her father said as he walked towards his daughter.

"I'm so sorry Marinette" Her mother pulled her in for a deep and needed hug. "We'll give you some space, it looks like you need more of it, please take care of yourself" Sabine said as she started nudging Marinette towards the back of the bakery where the stairs were to lead Marinette to her room.

"Thank you mom, and dad" Marinette said to her parents before opening the hatchet to her room.
