Opposites Attract (Camilo Madrigal x OC) - Disney's Encanto

Part One

It was Valentina's first day in Encanto, she planned one making her new start perfect. She wanted to meet new people, even though the thought seemed scary to her. She shook her head and pushed the thought away. Valentina jumped out of bed and put on a light purple skirt, accompanied by a black, sleeveless blouse. Valentina pushed her door open, and made her way to the kitchen. 

"Mija, you're awake! I made your favourite, Migas de Arepa!" Luciana said to her daughter, smiling. 

Valentina smiled back, "Gracias, Mami." she said, sitting down. She ate her favourite breakfast to start her perfect day. 

This is going well, she thought.

 After she finished up her breakfast, Valentina decided to go explore the town. She brought her little coin purse, with at least 100,000 Pesos that she had saved up before she moved to Encanto, so that she can buy something if she sees it. 

She left her house and started making her way down the path. She looked all around her, it was so beautiful. Especially the plants, she wondered how so many of one could grow like that. 

"COMING THOUGH WITH JACARANDA'S, WATCH OUT!" a woman said, with gorgeous purple flowers spouting after her. Valentina was impressed, and surprised. 

Then she realised, and remembered that her mother explained Encanto being magical. I mean, who names a town Encanto if it's not magical? 

Her mother also explained the Madrigals, the fantastical and magical Madrigals. Valentina had just witnessed Isabela Madrigal, the sister of Mirabel and Lusia, who was gifted with chlorokinetics.  

Isabela stopped in front of a few kids and gave them roses. Valentina ran up to her. 

"Hola, I am Valentina Rojas, and I have just moved here to Encanto. Your flowers are really pretty." Valentina said in one breath. 

Isabela giggled, "Thank you." she replied. She then created a singular Yellow Hibiscus and placed it in Valentina's hair. Valentina inhaled happily as Isabela drifted off with her Jacaranda's once again. 

Valentina turned around, met face to face with another tall woman, but not like Isabela at all. She had brown frizzy hair tied in a bow, and wore a red skirt with a yellow blouse. 

"I couldn't help but overhear that you are new to out town." the woman explained. Valentina was astounded, then another realisation hit her.

"You must be Dolores Madrgial. I just met with your cousin, Isabela." Valentina said. 

"Yes, I know. I heard. I hear everything." Dolores said. Valentina felt freaked out, but calmed down. 

"Hm," Dolores squeaked putting her ear close to Valentina, "I hear many thoughts running thought your head." 

Valentina's eyes widened, then laughed nervously. Dolores then scooted away. That was an odd encounter.

Valentina kept walking, then met up with a boy who looks about the same age as her. He face went red when she met her eyes with his. 

The boy took her hand in his, "Hola, hermosa." he said. Valentina's eyes widened, her face growing redder. 

The boy took notice and stopped, "Sorry, did I make you uncomfortable?"

Valentina shook her head, "You're Camilo Madrigal, right?" 

Camilo nodded, "The one and only." he smiled with confidence. 

Valentina looked at him again, then smiled softly. She snapped out of her daydreaming, and looked around. 

"Listen, I need to go... Uhm, like right now."

"Now? But we have only just met?"

"Yeah, but I remembered that my Mami... Uh, wants me to help her with something!" Valentina Lied. 

Camilo looked at her, and raised an eyebrow. "Alright then, well shall we meet again?" 

Valentina didn't say anything.

"Tonight at eight o'clock it is." Camilo replied to himself, "I'll be at your doorstep no later." Camilo smiled and walked away.

Valentina looked behind her and ran home. She bust into her own room and closed the door. Valentina slid down her door and giggled non stop at the thought of the new interaction. 

"Tonight at eight o'clock... Better choose a nice outfit to wear!" she said to herself.

This day was was absolutely perfect.
