It was bullshit. Just because Eret was the youngest didn’t mean they were incapable of protecting themself. But no. Their father refused to believe it. So here Eret was, confined in their small room again as always. Hidden from the terrors of the nether world all whilst being kept as a hostage in their own home. They hated it. But after many attempts and many speeches from an enraged Herobrine, they decided to just mask the way they felt. Inquisited and optimistic on the outside. Yet inside they felt so inferior to everyone else, like a pathetic victim of the gambles their father constantly made.
But as they had found out after the futile attempts, escape was impractical and pointless, nothing positive ever came from the attempts so Eret gave up on them. But all they wanted was to escape the nether and go to where they longed to be and yearned to see. Being young royalty though, the opportunity would most likely never present itself and continue to leave Eret in a deep, sorrowful and depressing pit. They never thought there would be anything to come of anything. So they had to continue as they were before their father managed to destroy the mask they had been wearing for countless years filled with boredom. Thankfully they were strong and managed to hold their voice as their father told them of the dangers of the human world and how only trained guards and people capable of defending themself could go.
That’s why it was all bullshit. Eret was capable. And they were going to prove it.
‘The usual routine’ Eret thought to themself, swinging their legs over the edge of their bed and slipping out of the covers and out of the warmth they provided. Despite what everyone thought, the nether was cold in few places, and the fortress of Herobrine just so happened to be in one of these areas, so everything was usually cold until later on in the day. They opened their door, met with Techno as usual. Eret smiled at the guard, only for him to sigh. “Eret, your father would like to speak with you once you are ready. Please get dressed. I’ll wait here for you.” Techno stated, a demand rather than a request. So Eret slowly nodded and retreated to their room again, closing the door behind them and huffing in annoyance of having to get dressed into something formal so early in the morning. However, denying to go would only make way for consequences that Eret didn’t want to put up with. So they slipped off the comfortable hoodie they were wearing and into a short sleeved grey shirt, the royal red and golden jacket over it as a sign of presentation and respect for the Nether. ‘Tch, what could he want this early in the morning anyways. It’s not going to be anything serious.’ At least that’s what Eret thought as they slipped on their black tight jeans, followed by a pair of combat boots, tying them tight so they wouldn’t come off whilst they were out.
Before leaving their room, Eret put on a few rings before meeting Technoblade in the hall again. The piglin bowed and began walking, Eret closing their door and swiftly walking to catch up with the piglin, the faint glow of his enchanted armour like a beacon in the dimly lit hallway. Eret wanted to speak, yet they knew something was wrong with Techno. They stayed quiet, not wanting to make it apparent the piglin was acting strange.
The time went quickly, reaching the office of their father quickly. Upon them arriving Techno bowed, a silent signal to Eret that he was leaving, and with a wave of Eret’s hand Techno left leaving a frightened Eret in front of the dark oak door of their father’s office. A few minutes passed before they entered. When they finally turned the door knob and let the door creak open, the sound echoing through the empty hallway, an immediate warmth hit them compelling them inside the room with a comforted sigh. The comfort was forgotten quickly however, when the door slammed shut behind Eret, making them flinch and look up to meet eyes with their father. Herobrine sat behind his desk, messy brown hair falling over pure white eyes. He wore his usual attire of a light blue t-shirt and dark blue jeans to accompany, his pale skin reflected with shadows of the sleeves, the jeans tucked into black boots much like Eret’s. Their father stood and strided over to them, engulfing them in a tight hug. After a few seconds they both stood away and Eret returned the smile.
