EMILY'S POV
I stare up through the gaps in the sea-grass parasol at the bluest of skies, summer blue, Meditteranean blue, with a contented sigh. Alison's beside me, stretched on a sun lounge. My to be wife - my hot, beautiful wife, in a bikini and high waisted shorts - is reading a book predicting the collapse of the Western Bank system. Wow, I didn't know Alison read that stuff. I haven't seen her sit this still, ever. She looks more like a student than the CEO of DiLaurentis Real Estate.
On the final leg of our Honeymoon, we laze in the afternoon sun on the beach of the aptly named Beach Plazza Monte Carlo in Manaco, although we're not actually staying in this hotel. I open my eyes and gaze out at the Fair Lady anchored in the harbour. We're staying on board a luxary motor yacht. How? Probably the fact that Ali has the money, or she's borrowing off a friend.
I sit back, and listen to the Alison DiLaurentis mix on my phone, and doze in the late after noon, idly remembering her proposal.
(FLASHBACK)
"Come" Alison takes my hand and leads me up the wooden stairs. Opening the door at the top, she steps aside to let me in. My mouth drops to the floor. The attic is unrecognisable. The room is filled with flowers... there's flowers everywhere. Someone has created a magical bower of beautiful wild meadow flowers mixed with flowing Christmas lights and minature lanterns that glow soft and pale all around room.
My face whips around to meet hers, and she's gazing at me, her expression unreadable. She shrugs.
"You wanted hearts and flowers" Ali murmurs.
I blink at her, not quite beliving what I'm seeing.
"You have my heart" and she waves towards the room.
"And here are the flowers" I whispier, completing her sentence.
"Alison. It's lovely" I can't think of what else to say. My heart is in my mouth as tears prick my eyes. Tugging my hand, she pulls me into the room, and before I know it, she's sinking to one knee. Holy shit... I was not expecting this...I stop breathing.
From inside her jacket pocket, she produces a ring and gazes up at me, her eyes bright blue and raw, full of emotion.
"Emily Fields. I love you. I want to love, cherish and protect you for the rest of my life. Be mine. Always. Share my life with me. Marry me" She murmurs.
I blink down at her as my tears fall. My girl. I love her, and all I can say as the tidal wave of emotion hits me is, "Yes."
She grins, relived and slowly slides the ring on the finger. It's beautiful. It's beautiful, an oval diamond in a platinum ring. Whoa.. It's so big... Big yet simple and stunning in it's simplicity.
"Oh, Alison" I sob, suddenly overwhelmed with joy, and i join her on my knees. My fingers fisting her hair as I kiss her, kiss her with all my heart and soul. I know deep down I will always be his, and she will always be mine. We've come so far together. We have so far to go, but we are made for eachother. We're meant to be.
(END OF FLASHBACK)
"Can we marry tomorrow?" Alison murmurs softly in my ear. I'm sprawled on her chest in the flowery bower in the boathouse.
"Hmm"
"Is that a yes?" I hear her hopeful surprise.
"Hmm"
"A no?" Alison mumbles, sounding confused. I surpress a grin.
"Hmm"
I sense her grin. "Emily Fields. Are you incoherent?"
I grin. "Hmm"
She laughs and hugs me tightly, kissing the top of my head. "Vegas tomorrow, it is then"
Sleepily I raise my head. "I don't think my parents would be very happy with that"
She thrums her fingertips up and down my arm, caressing me gently.
"What do you want, Emily? Vegas? A big wedding with all the trimmings? Tell me" Ali says.
"Not big... Just family and friends" I gaze up at her, moved by the quite entreaty in her glowing blue eyes. What does she want?
"Okay" She nods. "Where?"
I shrug.
"Could we do it here?" She asks tentatively. "Spencer's lake house?"
"Would she mind?"
Ali snorts. "She would be in seventh heaven"
"Okay here. I'm sure my parents would prefer that"
She strokes my hair. Could I be any happier?
"So we've established where, now when" I can sense her grin, as she caresses my arm.
"Surely, you'll have to ask Spencer." I chuckle out.
"Hmm." Alison's smile dips. "She can have a month, that's it. I want you too much to wait any longer"
"Alison, you have me. You've had me for a while. But okay, a month it is" I kiss her chest, a soft chaste kiss, and smile up at her.
