In the library
The two figures sat in the library distraught, brainstorming what to do.His phone was dead. Her parents didn't pick up. The door wasn't moving. They were stuck.
"Oh! We could use the fire escape." Amirae exclaimed, excitement rushing over her face.
But Ambrose's expression remained expressionless as he shook his head.
"There isn't one in here. They thought it would be a 'waste of funding'." He said the last part sarcastically as he dramatically set his head down on the table.
"And even if there was one, we would probably set off the alarms and then get arrested or something" He mumbled as he stared off into the distance.
Amirae watched him smiling, amused at how childish her teacher was acting for a grown man. She never really had conversations with him before, so seeing this side to him was nice.
She quickly snapped her face back to normal as he shot up in his chair and faced her.
"Well..." He cracked his knuckles as he began. "Theres no point in sitting here moping around. If were gonna be locked in here, we should at least get something done." She eyed him curiously as he unzipped his bag and pulled out a stack of papers.
He dropped them on the table with a loud thump, making her flinch. A bashful smile fell across his lips.
"I have grading to do, you have a project. Lets get busy." he said.
AMIRAE
I still couldn't really register that I might be spending the night at school. Let alone with Mr. Grey. This is something that you have a weird dream about and then forget about the next day but the point is, it shouldn't happen in the real world!Mr. Grey was unbothered by it so I don't really think this man realized the impact of his presence. I don't think he realized my presence in general either.
He was one of the best looking teachers in the school, along with Mr. Black. (ironic right) Girls were in love with him from all grades. There were upperclassman purposely failing their classes to attend his lectures. He had fan pages from people who don't even go here.
He was quite frankly that bitch.
I always knew that he was attractive. I mean that's basically a given for anyone whose caught a glimpse of the guy but I never had any particular feelings towards him. He was a great lecturer, I'm a good student, nothing more nothing less. We had rarely even spoken before.
Most importantly, I'm a pretty firm believer in the idea that my teachers aren't real people outside of school. So some of the things he says make me, I don't know, flustered? Shocked?
He's funnier than I expected, weirder than I expected, just better? What is even this??
After a little while of getting lost in my thoughts, I noticed that he was staring directly at me. It was that teacher stare like 'I don't know what you're doing right now but it isn't what you should be."
My cheeks heated up at our eye contact but then he said "Why are you just sitting there" and I snapped back to reality.
He was working. Is was staring at a wall. Fuck.
I awkwardly laughed like an idiot and immediately pulled out my laptop and started typing random shit until he lowered his gaze.
