Brooklyn Akers

"Brooklyn do you have this sweat-" Kat's voice busted through my bedroom door. I was still sleeping. My head shot up off the pillow. "Oh fuck. Im so sorry. I completely forgot you had a boyfriend now and that I should knock. I suck." She said, backing out of the door she just barged through.

"What's going on?" Jacob asked, his grip on my waist tightening as he stretched behind me. "Honestly I don't know." I mumbled. "Just come in Kat. You were already in here anyways." I said. She creeped through the door. "I'm really sorry." She said. "It's fine. What were you asking?" I asked. "Do you still have this sweater?" She asked, showing me an old instagram picture from a year ago. "I think so. Look in my closet." I said.

My head fell back on the pillow and I moved the sheets back up over my shoulders. In that moment I realized, I was completely naked under here. All the thoughts of last nights events after dinner caught up to me, as a smile crept onto my face. Kat was deep into my closet, I rolled over to face Jacob. "Goodmorning." I said. "Morning." He said. His eyes still closed but a smirk forming on his lips. "What are you smirking about?" I asked. "Just thinking about last night." He said. "Yeah I just did the same thing." I said.

I nuzzled my head onto his bare chest but into the crook of his neck at the same time. His chin resting on the top of my head. "Ah Ha. Found it." She said. She walked out of the closet a few seconds later holding the sweater in her hand. "What do you need this for?" I asked. "I wanna take pictures in Central Park today and this will complete my outfit." She said. "Okay then." I said.

She walked out of the room, and closed the door behind her. "I don't want to move." I said. "We don't have to." He said. "I need to go grocery shopping." I said with a laugh. "Ooh adulting." He said. "Unfortunately." I said. "I'll go with you if you want." He said. "You don't have to. It's so boring." I said. "I'll go." He said. "Okay." I said, pressing my forehead to his as I smiled.

I rolled out of bed still completely naked, walked at a fast pace to the bathroom. Not that he hadn't seen me like this obviously but when the light was shining into the room, I felt exposed. I grabbed a shirt off the hook on the back of my bedroom door and threw it on. I began brushing my teeth and getting ready for the day.

I applied a little bit of makeup and ran my fingers though my slept on hair. I looked fine to go to the grocery store. When I was done, I walked to my closet to actually find an outfit for the day. I decided on a New York sweatshirt and ripped jeans with my converse of course. I walked out of the closet when I was done and realized Jacob had snuck into the bathroom.

I started making up the bed and tidying up my room so it would be nice when we got back here. He came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, and I was sitting on the perfectly made bed watching tiktoks.

"You ready?" He asked. "Yeah!" I said. I got off the bed, grabbing my purse and walking towards the door he was holding open for me. We walked out into the living room, and saw Kat in the kitchen. "We're going to the grocery store." I said. "Okay, see ya later." She said.

We walked down the sidewalk, and started our walk to trader joe's. My safe space.

When we got there, I grabbed a basket and we started walking around the store. I grabbed fruits and veggies first. "Is there anything special you might want?" I asked. "I'll be fine with anything. I've been kinda struggling on how to tell you this, but me and Noah have to leave in a couple days to go to LA." He said. My face fell a little, in the back of my head I knew he was going to have to leave at some point, and that he was just here to have fun. He didn't plan on staying here and meeting me and yet we've spent every day together for the past two weeks.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it like that." He said. "No it's okay. I just kinda forgot you don't live here permanently and you have to go back at some point. I guess the past two weeks have kinda made me forget all of that." I said. "I can't believe it's been two weeks since you drug me out into the park at midnight and made me think I was gonna get killed." He said, laughing. "Hey! It's fun!" I protested.
