Sultan's POV

I have choosen the road I was destined to walk on.

"Sultan why are you doing something that left us with a trauma?"

I heard bhabhijaan chimed at me. Her looks were filled with fear. Which I hated.

"If you people decide to stay a weakling then I don't care,"I blurted venomously."I cannot forget the day bhaijaan was murdered brutally. I cannot forget his death.I want to avenge it."

"Revenge will give you nothing but emptiness. Ershad won't come back even if you finish all of them. And how do you expect to fight them alone?"

I smirked thinking about her words. I stared at the dead cold bodies sprawled on the ground. I felt my legs wobble as I dropped on the floor. My stomach had taken bullets and bleeding profusely.

They had came to finish me too. Trying to wipe out our entire bloodline. When I was alone, they surrounded me. I sensed it and vowed upon my dead brother's soul that I won't die until my revenge is finished.

Now they lied dead on the ground but my vision was getting blurred.

I gritted my teeth, every step a struggle as I walked back home. My leg throbbed in agony, the stab wound aching with each movement. I had managed to escape, but the damage was done.

Just as I turned a corner, a tiny figure barreled into me, wrapping arms around my waist. I froze, startled.

"Hey!" I growled, turning to face the intruder.

A petite girl with a heart-shaped face and messy hair gazed up at me, tears streaming down her cheeks. Her eyes sparkled with fear, and her tiny hands held me tight.

"Please don't make me go back," she pleaded. "Those dogs were going to eat me!"

I raised an eyebrow, studying her harmless appearance. No wonder she was scared.

"You shouldn't be out so late," I said gruffly, starting to walk away.

But she grabbed my hand again, her eyes pleading.

"Please, walk with me. It's dark, and those dogs... What if they come back?"

I hesitated, unsure why I was considering this. I had more pressing matters – revenge, power, survival.

"What happened with the dogs?" I asked, humoring her.

She launched into a breathless tale. "I was walking home from the library, and they came out of nowhere! I stuck my tongue out at them, and they chased me!"
