3rd person pov

Y/n and Esther stared at the bunny for a long time, so long they didn't notice Molly and Isaac leave.

When they do notice Esther nudged Y/n and began walking to find their friends, Y/n was left to hold Mr. Hopps, Y/n quickly glanced at the leaving Esther before looking back at Hopps, it felt more like a stare-off between two parties than just one. Y/n quickly got up and followed their friend, the-individual held Mr. Hopp close to the chest and tried to ignore the feeling of something quickly nuzzling up to them.

1st person pov(Y/n)

We walked all over the orphanage, to try and find our friends, we did find them, around the library, when we came close enough Molly spoke up "Oh, finally..." Esther and I's smile quickly fell with that statement "Do you want to play hide and seek with us?" Isaac tried to lighten the mood, but Molly has to give her own opinion "That wouldn't be fair, you can see Esther's big head from anywhere! And hear Y/n's footsteps from a mile away!" I looked down with sadness but decided not to speak up, but, it felt like Mr. Hopp nuzzled into me, like comfort. "You are so funny, Molly" Esther spoke up, annoyance dripping from every word, but Molly didn't hear it "Don't forget beautiful and clever!" Isaac laughed before pointing at me "You go count by the lift, we will hide in the library!" I smiled and nod "alright, but be safe, a book falling on your head really hurts." everyone had a quick laugh before I went over to the lift, placing Mr. Hopp on the drawer, I started counting "1...2...3... Ready or not here I come!" I quickly turn around and began walking but stopped when I hear the sound of paper being squished under my feet, quickly looking I picked up a note.

This lift has been 
out of order for
two weeks! please
telephone an
engineer!

I quickly put the note down, it clearly wasn't meant for me anyway.
walking into the library, I saw the other toys on a table close by, It felt like they were staring at me, I shivered and moved on, I looked around on the bottom floor, no one. moving up to the second floor and going to the left I found Isaac hiding behind a statue, tapping his shoulder he yells in mild anger "Not fair!" I give the younger boy a smile and pet his head "You did better than me Isaac" he smiles and nods, going over to the table Mr. Stripes was left at. Continuing on my hunt I went to the other side, finding Esther on the other side, I grab her shoulders quickly "boo!" she shrieks in fear before realizing it's me "Y/n! you scared me!" she giggles out, I laugh with her while helping her out of her hiding spot "go get Mr. Hopp from the table next to the lift and join Isaac" she nods and walks off while I find molly, hiding behind a chair on the first floor 'she must've moved from her original hiding spot'  nudging her shoulder, she gets up and joins the rest of the group.

"As usual, I was the best at hiding!" Molly spoke with happiness and sass "I don't think you're allowed to move to different hiding spots..." "It's not fun playing with a cheat." Isaac and Esther said respectively "A cheat!? you three are lucky I am even playing with you right now." Molly said as Miss. Beverley walked over, clearly mad.

'here's today's first Beverley yell' I thought as she began to yell

"Can we please keep the noise down!? Don't you know this is a library!?" the three kids and I look down "Yes, Miss Beverley." She walks off, not without giving out an "Awful children." A moment of silence passes before Isaac spoke up "It's not like anybody else is in here..." Esther nods, stating an idea "We can go somewhere else" everyone nods and heads out, Isaac and Molly leave, but Esther holds me back "hm? What's wrong?" I crouch to be more eye level with her, she asks if I had left Mr. Hopp close to the edge, to which I shake my head no "then why was he on the floor...?" she asks in panic "I don't know" I take the red bow-tie wearing bunny from her "I'll keep a hold of him, don't worry Esther, Mr. Hopp won't hurt you, he's a toy" she smiles and runs off to join the others, I walk slower while staring at the bunny in my hands "I hope you're just a toy." I looked away to where I was going

But in the corner of my eye.

Its smile was bigger.
