15 years old:

Forth's pov:

I groaned softly and pulled at my hair as i glared at the book in front of me.

I've read over everything 100 times already and I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around everything and remembering them.

And the exams start next week! I only have 2 more days!

I slumped onto my back on the bed.

I've been studying nonstop for the last 4 hours but have had close to no luck.

I would call Pha who's the book smart one out of the two of us but he also has to learn by himself so i don't want to disturb him.

I rubbed my face with my palms and slapped myself a few times before sitting up and focusing on the notes again.

..........

I looked towards the door when i heard it open.

I blinked when Pha came in with his backpack.

"Hey." He smiled coming up to the bed and getting on beside me.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be studying at home?" I asked.

"I am here to study." He took out his books from his bag.

"Here." He gave me a notebook.

I was confused but took it and opened it.

I was surprised to see notes on math.

It was the units I'm having difficulty in.

"I noticed you had a deep frown on your face when the teacher taught us these units. So I made some simple notes which would help understand them better." He opened the textbooks and his other notebooks.

I nodded silently and we started revising everything.

..........

"Oh my. Good morning." Mom greeted us as we went downstairs the next morning.

"Morning." We yawned and said at the same time.

"Seems like someone stayed up late last night." She chuckled.

"Calculus is a bitch." I grumbled.

It took 3 hours of him explaining everything over and over again for me to understand all the formulas and equations properly.

She shook her head amused.

..........

"I think i should start working out." Pha spoke while we were eating breakfast.

I looked at him blankly. "Why so suddenly?"

He frowned and pouted. "I'm gaining weight. I don't even eat that much but I've gained like 5kg in the last 2 months."

"You look very handsome Pha. I don't think you need to work out." Mom spoke.

I nodded in agreement.

"I don't like how i look. My stomach is starting to show as well. I mean look at you!" He turned to me.

I blinked.

"That's probably because goes jogging every morning before going to school and goes swimming every weekend." Mom.

"Can i join too?" Pha looked at me with puppy eyes.

"You won't be able to keep up with my routine." I sighed.

He pouted and looked down sadly.

"You'll have to start with a shorter distance and build up your stamina little by little," I added eating a forkful of pancake.
