I Never Broke Your Heart....(Shivika SS)

Life's most unexpected turns either leaves you to be the happiest or makes you devastated. In Annika's case the latter happened.
As soon as Annika's flight landed, she came out of the airport and was about to make a call to Shivaay, thats when life took the worst turn in her life, she got hit by a car and the last thing she remembered was everything going black infront of her eyes.

"Mr. Kapoor, I am sorry to say but Annika's condition is critical, there were many injuries in her lower body which has caused her legs to be paralyzed for life." Said the doctor.

This news left the Kapoors devastated, they felt helpless. Despite having the power of money, they could do nothing for their only daughter.

Annika finally opened her eyes after three days and the first word that left her mouth was 'Shivaay'. When she was informed about her condition by her parents , she broke down completely and only desired Shivaay's warmth at that time. Though her parents somewhat changed after they saw her daughters broken state but Annika still did not trust them fully.

"Mom, did you call  Shivaay?" Annika finally managed to speak something with her broken voice.

"Anu...." Annika's mother paused as she didn't knew what to reply her as they really didn't want an orphan to be their daughter's husband.

" Mom, I am asking something? Please don't be quite like that."

"I didn't call him dear, but you don't worry I will inform him right now." With no way left Anisha( Annika's mother) had  to call Shivaay.

Anisha tried twice but nobody answered Shivaay's calls. When Anisha informed the same to Annika, she told her to try his numbers continuously and also to send him some messages so that he can understand its urgent.

Slowly two days passed but there was no response from Shivaay. Annika knew he must be busy somewhere that is why he is unable to call her.

Three weeks passed and Annika was shifted to her house, there were still no calls or replies from Shivaay. Annika was completely bed ridden but still didn't lose any hope. She knew Shivaay will be back very soon, only if she knew about the thunder that was waiting to hit her the next moment.

Annika was lying in her bed, her eyes staring the ceiling as if a movie was going on in it, thats when her father Harshvardhan entered with a worry on his face.

"Anu...baby.." Harsh struggled to find correct words to disclose the news that he had for her.

"Dad, you want to say something?"

"Dear, I have something to tell you"

"Go ahead Dad, its clear that you have a bad news for me. Don't hesitate."

"Anu, actually since we were unable to connect to Shivaay and you were getting desperate to meet him, so I sent one of my assistant to meet him"

"Really dad, you did so. Where he is? My Shivaay? Is he here? Shivaay? Shivaay please don't play with me and come here. I need you the most right now." Annika started to get excited.

"Baby, actually...Shivaay replied he doesn't wants to see you when my assistant informed him about your condition. He told that he cannot spend his life with a...." Harsh now started to cry hysterically.

"No this can't be true, my Shivaay can never say that about me. He loves me dad. He can never do so."

"But I have the proof Anu, hear this..." Harsh started an audio recording

'I don't want to be with a girl who is paralyzed. She is of no use to me now. She can't give me physical pleasure. She will not be able to carry my children. She is just a garbage to me now.'

This was enough to break Annika into zillion pieces, though she didn't want to but the evidence was so clear that she was bound to belive it.

Harsh left her room on Annika's insistence as she wanted to be alone.

Annika felt as if someone burned her alive. She somehow managed to bear the pain of her being paralyzed for life but Shivaay's words killed her like anything.
