"We've got idiots fighting non-stop on the streets these days. Can't eat enough to keep up," Fatgum explained to Kirishima as he ate a tray of crab rolls.

Tamaki, Kirishima, Fatgum, and I were doing a night patrol on the streets of Hosu City.

Ever since the movie incident a few days ago, Tamaki's been avoiding me. And I've been kinda sad.

I love Tama's company and him ignoring me....it hurts.

"Anyway, the agencies around here have been wanting a close-combat type. You're just what the doctor ordered, Red Riot," Fatgum smiled.

"I promise I'll do my best! Fourth Kind doesn't accept work-study students, so I really appreciate you taking me on," Kirishima smiled.

"If only Mirio'd been around. Man. Your persistence was terrifying," Tama muttered to Kirishima.

"We're gonna work on those delicate nerves of yours, Tamaki, and then you'll be worth your weight in gold," Fatgum sighed.

"Your expectations only drag me deeper into despair. It's always like this. I swear, this man scouted me just so he'd have someone to torment. I wanna go home!" Tama groaned.

I was about to put my hand on his shoulder like I usually do, but I stopped halfway.

'He probably doesn't want me to touch him either.'

I retracted my hand.

"Maybe he's trying to encourage you. That's what mentors are supposed to do, right?" Kirishima asked.

"I'm not like you or Mirio. Positivity's not my strong suit," Tama said in his monotone.

"Hey, man, I know how it is. Sometimes when things get crazy, I feel useless, too. There's a gap between me and my classmates that's only getting wider. But I'm doin' my bed to close that gap," Kirishima stated.

"That right there, is called positivity, first-year," Tama sighed.

Once Kirishima began talking to Fatgum.

I walked a little closer to Tamaki.

"Hey, Tama?" I started, tapping him on the shoulder.

He turned to me with a confused look.

"I'm sorry about what happened with the movie incident. I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. Just please don't avoid me. I miss your company," I apologized, looking him dead in the eyes.

"You thought I was avoiding you? I thought you were avoiding me. I thought you would be mad because I ran out on you so I decided to give you some space," Tama said, scolding himself.

"I wasn't mad. I knew you were embarrassed and let you go. Well, I'm just glad we can go back to talking again," I smiled.

Tama slightly smiled back.

"They're fighting! Someone, help!" A random person shouted.

We all turned around and saw a couple of gang members running away from a store owner.
