Chapter 6 - My First Pit Video

I was VERY excited bc I was gonna be in a try not to laugh today!!! I'd been in two main channel videos so far, and i guess things went well! I was kinda nervous to perform my own bits—like i'm not going to be saying things that were written for me...so hopefully they think i'm funny.

To give you an update on things between me and Shayne, it was going good! It's possible that we've been talking even more than before. I think it's the pressure that's been taken off of possible hook ups or even a relationship. We text pretty often, and he's been so nice about the tntl (try not to laugh) video, he keeps saying that i can practice bits on him if i want. i've been saving the bits for the episode however.

As for Courtney, we've slowly been getting closer! we still haven't hung out outside of the office, but i want to ask her to soon! And she's still in her relationship :((( i've heard some rumors from olivia and kimmy that she might break up with him, so i'm kinda optimistic about that. Courtney is just such a light in this new job and i've enjoyed every second i've spent with her. and she is literally gorgeous i get butterflies everytime she touches me.

i made it to the smosh office on time and said hi to everyone that was there. the other people that were in the tntl was shayne, courtney, damien, and noah.

once everyone was there we did some improv warmups led by garrett and we were ready to roll! we took our places, i stood to the side and courtney was in the middle, ready to do the intro. the camera started rolling.

"Hello everyone and welcome to another try not to laugh!!" courtney said. everyone cheered. "We're going back to the classics today, just a simple try not to laugh, but guess what, y/n is here!"

"Hey!" i said and waved at the camera.

"Maybe you've seen y/n in some main channel videos, either way she's very funny and i'm sure will make us laugh." I smiled at Courtney.

"Are you nervous?" Noah asked.

"You know i was a little nervous, but you know now i'm just ready to crush this." I said confidently.

"NICE" Shayne shouted. the others cheered. courtney was in the hot seat first which was good! i was confident that she'd laugh at my bit even if she didn't think it was hilarious. i went out 3rd and i made a few jokes about being the new person at smosh—ofc courtney laughed! that made me feel good. next noah was in the seat and GUESS WHAT i did my gordon ramsay idiot sandwich bit (shayne was my idiot sandwich) and noah lost it. shayne was a pivotal role bc he just started fake crying when i came him an idiot sandwich. i high fived shayne after noah laughed.

i was in the hot seat last, and i laughed at everyone i couldn't help it. they were all so damn funny. courtney did an installment of academy of weird sounds and i mostly spit out the water bc i was smiling so much. she was just so cute!

for the outro i was still sitting on the stool. damien did most of the outro. at one point he said, "y/n really rose to the challenge!!"

i said, "what can i say i'm pretty funny."

"You sure are!" Courtney said and hugged me from behind, so her arms were up by my shoulders. i mayyy have blushed. god if people notice, that's embarrassing. Damien finished the outro and we stopped rolling. everyone congratulated me. we had 40 minutes until the next video. it was a board af, with me, shayne, saige, and ian.

shayne pulled me aside. "y/n i'm so impressed by your bits! they were so good."

"thanks shayne! i have been practicing some of them for a while."

"i do that too." i stared at shayne for a second. i don't know what came over me but i just got an urge. i was about to be bold. there was no one around. i mean people walking by, but they weren't paying attention.
