I opened my eyes when I heard the sound of the door opening. I rolled over just I'm time for an arm being tossed at me. It was like instincts I immediately grabbed it and began eating away at it messily. Once I got enough to quench my thirst I tossed dit away from me and shuffled back until I was hugging the wall.
The woman, Ahmya, sat on the steps watching me the whole time I ate the arm. "I can let you stay here, trust me no one in this town is going to help you with your...condition", she stated. I just stared at her. I so badly wanted to curse her out, tell her I believe someone on this town will help me. Even so I knew the reality of the situation. If I include her amongst the people of this town, she was the only one who can help me.
"Okay", I mumbled. "Only if you do me a favor", she said holding one finger up. "What is it you want me to do", I asked. "Eat the bodies of the people I kill", she answered. "What! No way", I snapped. "Then settle into your new home down here", she said standing up and began ascending up the stairs. "Wait no", I shouted jumping to my feet. Ahmya stopped then glanced back at me. I sucked in a breath while swelling my pride too.
"Fine I'll do it", I said through my teeth. Ahmya smiled at me then turned around. "Good", she replied. "...Can you take this off me now", I asked motions to the metal collar around my neck. "Just a minute", she said then headed back up the stairs. I stood there awakardly waiting for her. I heard her footsteps descending back down the stairs. I was about to thank her, but froze when the body of the man was thrown down in front of me. It was just the torso and head. His arms and lower part of his body, everything below the belly button was gone. I looked back up at Ahyma in disbelief.
"Finnish your breakfast then I'll release you", she said then headed back up the stairs and closed the door. I stared down at the man. He was white middle aged and was balding. He had a gut on him sadly. Not in a body shaming kind of way, as in more to eat kind of way. I fell to my knees and began poking at his skin. I cringed slightly when I felt how soft he was. I swallowed my pride once more then began eating away.

I picked the left over skin from in between my teeth while waiting for Ahmya to come back down the stairs. When I was able to get it from in-between my teeth the basement door swung opened. I glared harshly at Ahyma who was walking down the stairs. She nodded her head while smiling at the pile of bones of the dead man. She took the key from her pocket and wave dit around slightly.
"Good girl you're free to go now", she cooed then smiled at me while approaching me. I flicked the skin off my finger then stuck the middle finger up at her.
