Mason lied to get out of his plans with Victoria. He wasn't going out with the boys to a club but was actually going to a bar by himself. Seeing how well his girlfriend got along with another guy made him feel every negative emotion. Anger, jealousy, sadness. As long as it was a negative emotion, Mason felt it. He pulled on his t-shirt before walking out of his house. Three hours and six drinks later he was stumbling back to his car to drive home. He called Victoria as he was driving and she picked up within seconds.

"Mase, are you okay?" she asked.

He blew his horn before cursing a woman who was walking across the street 'too slowly'. "No I'm not okay. I'm furious. You get along with Julian Brandt better than you get along with me."

Victoria sighed. "Are you drunk?"

"No! Why'd you assume that?"

"I can hear it in your voice, Mason. And stop fucking driving if you're drunk. You're gonna get in an accident in the state you're in!" Victoria exclaimed as she pulled on her shoes. In Mason's drunken state he was probably going to say some hurtful things but she didn't care. She knew she had to take care of him.

He laughed. "You wouldn't care. But if Julian got in an accident you'd fly down to Germany right away."

"Stop bringing Julian up!"

As Mason pulled into his driveway he hung up on Victoria before getting into his house. He threw his keys aside before pulling off his shirt and jeans and getting in bed. He was listening to music when his bedroom door opened and Victoria appeared.

Mason rolled his eyes. "How'd you get in?"

Victoria scoffed. "You left your fucking door unlocked."

"Oh well as you can see, I'm fine so you can leave, darling."

His voice was laced with sarcasm when he said darling but Vic ignored it and put a glass of water and an Advil on his bedside table. "Take the tablet in the morning when you wake up. If you want the water now drink it and I'll refill the glass. I'll go put on the air conditioning for you."

Before Victoria could walk away Mason held her wrist to keep her beside him. "I just have one question, did you do this for Julian?"

Victoria pulled her hand away from him. "I get it, you're jealous but that doesn't give you an excuse to act the way you are right now. I said it before and I'll say it again, Julian and I are a thing of the past. You have nothing to be jealous of because who am I taking care of right now, you or Julian?" she paused, "You right. So start fucking acting like my boyfriend again. I'm in love with you Mason. Not Julian. You. So before you bring Julian up again think about what I've said. You don't want me here? That's fine, I'm happy to walk out that door because if you're gonna act like this then you don't deserve all the attention you get from me."

As Victoria turned to walk out of Mason's room he spoke. "Don't go. Please."

"Why should I stay?"

"Because I'm acting like an idiot and I'm sorry. You love me, that should be more than enough," he groaned.

"But it isn't. Why?" Victoria asked.

"I know I don't deserve you."

Victoria sighed and got in bed beside Mason. "I love you, you know that right."

He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her forehead. "Yeah, I know."

Just before Mason fell asleep he heard Victoria's voice. "Promise me, you won't ever get jealous of Julian again. Because if you do I won't hesitate to break up with you."

Mase flashed Vic a sleepy smile. "I know you wouldn't."

"Promise me, Mason."

"I promise."
