Mason's POV

When Mason woke up on his birthday, he never expected find an Instagram post announcing his relationship with Victoria. Nevertheless, it made him even happier knowing he didn't have to hide his relationship from his teammates and family. Mason pressed the call button beside Victoria's name once he read the 'good morning and happy birthday' text she had sent. She picked up within five seconds, showcasing her standing in Mason's living room.  

"Happy bir-" 

Mason jumped out of bed. "That's my living room. Victoria Ashley Havertz, please tell me you're standing in my living room and I'm not just seeing things because I'm tired." 

Vic heard Mason's footsteps on his staircase and she laughed at how loud he was. He appeared in his living room with a frantic yet happy look on his face. "Surprise!" 

He ran to her and lifted her up before kissing her. "I hate you. You said you weren't coming home until later this week." 

"You told me you loved me earlier this week, I think that contradicts your 'I hate you' statment. And I was in Germany longer than I was supposed to be because Kai told me to stay and help our mum out with something." Victoria said as she carressed his cheek. 

Mason's heart did somersaults at the feel of her hand against him again. "You could've just told me why you were staying back." 

Victoria laughed softly. "I didn't want you to think you're second to everthing else in my life, because you're not.

"Baby, it's your mum. I'd never get mad at you for that, if it was Julian then maybe-" 

Victoria smacked Mason's chest playfully. "Julian is just a friend." 

Mason sat on the couch, bringing her down with him. "Thanks for coming home." He rested his head on her shoulder. 

"Anything for you, Mase."
