The Past Promise | Hotel Del Luna

Prologue

This won't contain much of a fantasy like a superpower, or ability that Jang Manwol had on the actual drama. This is already the next life and they are now living normally as mortals.

"Koo Chansung..."

Rigel almost jumped off his bed after having the same nightmare for almost a month after he came back home from the States.

Getting up and sat on his bed, he inhaled deeply. "Who is this Koo Chansung anyway..." He whispered, like almost blowing out air. "And whose voice can that be?" The 30-year old massaged his temple as how he tries to keep calm. The same voice and name have been causing him sleepless night ever since his first night in Seoul.

It was another startling moment when the alarm clock on the nightstand beside his bed alarmed right after the clock strike at 2:00am.

Rigel brushed his face off with his palm. He should be sleeping peacefully right now because a few hours from now will be his final interview with the very own CEO of the Hotel who offered him a great position which he accepted.

Hotel Del Luna...

The reason why he chose this hotel out of all the other ones who offered him with the same position as well, is because of the name itself, Hotel Del Luna. The first time Rigel heard about the name, something already came to his mind and had the feeling of urge that he has to work there. He has to.

Getting back to slumber, hoping that he'll have a good night sleep this time, Rigel closed his eyes and tried to erase the thought of the voice that's been haunting him for quite some time now.

Morning came, Rigel Choi was awaken by the sound of the alarm that was set to 8am. He smiled in relief after not encountering the same dream of the woman's voice. He had a good sleep.

Having a light stretch after getting up is a routine for him, not daily, but if only he had a great sleep. Although the nightmare had just visited his sleep at 2am, Rigel still had a great six-hours sleep.

"Good morning Felix," Rigel greeted his friend who owns the house where he lives in. Felix Gomez is a Korean-Spanish friend of Rigel whom he met while studying abroad. Gomez is a son of a Spanish Tycoon who's running different businesses in Spain. Despite the great wealth, the humble 33-year old Felix runs a pizza shop in Seoul. Yet no one can stop him from owning lots of luxury from yachts to his vintage-inspired modern house.

"Oh hey, you're up. Come join me for breakfast." Felix had just finished setting up the table for breakfast. Every morning will he buy different kinds of pastries near their home that will serve as their breakfast.

Rigel gladly sat down on the stool next to Felix and had his first sip of brewed coffee. "So, is it your first day?" Asked the friend who offered a home for Rigel.

"No, I still have a final interview with the CEO of that Hotel." Rigel answered.

"What's this hotel again?"

"Hotel Del Luna."

Felix nodded in amusement after hearing the unique name. "Isn't the CEO there the famous Luna Lee?" He then asked.

"You know her?"

"Yeah, she has quite the name in the business world. But I don't see any people acquainted to her, maybe she's too focused on business. Workaholic I may say..."

"You mean she doesn't have any friends?" Rigel asked in confusion.

"Not that I know of. There was a saying that no one wants to be her friend and vice versa. Her personality is quite awful." Gomez sipped his coffee as he explains everything he knows about the Hotel CEO.
