Ivy LaRusso had always stuck to herself, only occasionally engaging in her sisters friends. Even when she did, she would keep her distance.

"Ivy, get me a drink." Anthony said, the sound of his game ringing through the room.

"No." The girl scoffed, looking over at her younger brother.

"Get me a drink!" He repeated, more harsh this time.

"No!" Ivy said, throwing a decorative pillow at her brothers head.

"MOM!" Anthony yelled, not looking up from the screen. "IVY THREW A PILLOW AT ME!"

"Ivy, why would you throw a pillow at him?" Amanda said as she walked into the living room from the kitchen.

"He told me to get him a drink." She said, pointing to her brother as she looked at Amanda. "He can get his own drink."

Amanda crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at the middle child.

"How come Sam never has to do it when he orders her around?" Ivy groaned as she pushed herself off of the couch.

"Because Sam doesn't groan and complain." Amanda said as Ivy brushed past her, dragging her feet to the refrigerator.

"Sam this, Samantha that." Ivy mocked in a high pitched voice as she looked through the fridge.

"Ivy." Amanda warned.

Ivy rolled her eyes as she grabbed every bottle in the fridge, looking at the expiration date.

"Where's my drink!" Anthony yelled from the living room.

"I'm getting it, I'm getting it!" Ivy said, smirking as she poured a drink that had expired 2 years prior.

"Hurry up!"

Ivy tried to hold in her laugh as she walked into the living room, holding the glass of carbonated eggnog.

"Here you go, my king." Ivy sarcastically said as she handed Anthony the cup.

He took a sip of the drink with no hesitation, choking on the substance.

"This tastes like crap!" He exclaimed, spitting the liquid back into the cup. "What is this?"

"Expired eggnog." Ivy chuckled, sitting back down on her chair.

"Ivy!" Amanda hissed. "How expired?"

"About 2 years." She chuckled.

"You fed me 2 year old eggnog?" Anthony exclaimed.

"Ivy, phone." Amanda said. "Now."

"Mom!" Ivy sighed, slouching her shoulders.

"And you have to go to the dealership after school and on weekends for a week."

"Mom!" Ivy said, louder this time.

"No negotiations." Amanda said.

"No negotiations." Ivy said to Sam later that day at dinner.

"You always get in trouble with Anthony." Sam chuckled.

"It's not funny." Ivy snapped. "I used to be the baby and then King Tech showed up and took my spot."

"So, Ivy." Daniel said, causing the girl to look up. "Coming over to the dealership this week?"
