Little lady

Chapter.2

I started to do some examining, he can float, he can talk, and I can see him. It seemed like I was the only person who could see him, I wonder why? 

I... Tried speaking, but I wasn't able to speak properly. Whenever I do, I would get insecure and discouraged, but then the baby spoke. ''You can't talk?'' Tilting his head as well as his body to the side. I wasn't really surprised to hear how he was able to speak a sentence since I've already heard him talk. I nodded, ''But you look perfectly fine to me?'' I was more surprised about him talking big words when he's only a child. And then... I just looked down on the ground with a glum face. ''Every baby in the world started as people who can't talk. And no one blames them for it. I wonder why people always say mean things to people like you who can't talk.'' Heh, he was wiser than me, I wish I was like him. ''Mn'' I said. At least I was able to say that. And it kinda made me less sad. ''Wanna play with me?'', I truly wished to play with him, but it was getting late and no one will make dinner for mom and me, so I had to decline. I shook my head, patted my chest, and pointed at the sky, saying I needed to go because it was late. ''I see... But promise to play with me tomorrow, okay?'' I nodded. Of course I will play with him tomorrow. But then I noticed that I never asked his name. I stared at him fiercely and slowly moved towards him, he was flustered of course, and then he got an idea of what I wanted to say. ''You wanna know my name?'' I was happy and nodded. ''Oh, my name is Ryuu! What's yours?'' I wanted to tell my name, but he wouldn't understand me even if I tried. So... I tried speaking. ''E-eh...'', ''Eh??'', ''E-eh... Eh...E-eho! E...Ehi... Eiko!'' I was surprised... I... Said my name. I covered my face with both of my hands, and was bashful of my own surprise, ''Eiko? Eiko is your name? Eh! You can talk! Next time, try practicing talking more! Eiko!'' -As he disappeared. 

I kept on thinking about Ryuu, that little ghost that I met today. I want to sleep but he keeps on popping in and out of my head. But since I needed to sleep early and play with him tomorrow, I fell asleep. 

I hurried to the place where I met him before I got to school and saw him sitting on the sideroad. He looks at me and surprise and smiled, standing up and waving hi, ''Eiko! Hi! Good morning!'' 

We talked as I walked to school, people were staring at me, but It didn't bother me that much. He went to school with me and help me with a lot of things. After school ended we went to a shrine temple and there we played till we went to the top.

It didn't look like it was abandoned but there were no people there. I looked at Ryuu, wondering where the people are. ''Oh... You must be wondering why there's no one here, right? There's an old man that lives here with his granddaughter. She's in college right now. She visits here a few times a month when she's free and stays here for a week. But there are some kind people that visit here to keep the old man company from time to time.'' I see, so that's why. I looked at Ryuu again, ''Oh, are you wondering where he is? He should be asleep or doing some groceries at this time of day. '' Gosh, he truly is amazing. He could guess what I was thinking like a mind reader. 

A sudden noise caught my attention, It sounded like a  river. I walked to see, and it looked like Ryuu noticed me walking away towards the river. Though I didn't see his reaction, I wonder what it looked like?

''Woah'' -was the most explicit reaction I had. It was beautiful, It was a river but the water was calm, and there were fishes in the water. The water was so clear, I could see my face from the water. 

I knelt down and touched the water from my finger tips, It was cold, but It felt nice.

I looked behind me to look at Ryuu, and he was there, standing still and looking at me.

I ponder, and tilted my head. 

He then walked towards me and sat beside me, I took off my shoes and socks first before putting my feet to the water and gosh, how great the water felt. 

''This place used to be a place where I usually play at. Because I had no friends, I spent my time here on this place. The old man was also my friend, and I also spend time with him whenever I come and play here. I would bring him food from home, and he would make me food and let me stay at this place whenever I couldn't get home from the rain. And you know? The girl here that lives with the old man was one of my friends as well! She was still high-school when I was around, and we would play together as well, but you know how busy it is for high-school people because they still have to do their school-work, so we would only spend time from time to time. But she was really kind and still play with me even though I knew she was busy. Everyday she comes home from school she always looked so tired. She even had a nose bleed once and fell down a few times because she was always tired. I hope she could at least could get some rest at that college place.
