Chapter 2: Capture

"There are too many" Chifuyu yelled out.

The IS Academy units were still in a battle against the soldiers of Peter Harrison. However, no matter how many they killed, they just kept coming back. Not only that, but they were also extremely strong for human beings, which made their job a lot harder. And to top it all off, a lot of the IS Units were taken down and were unable to fight back. While some units were just barely standing, there was still an army surrounding them.

"It's no use, we will be killed if we keep going" Charlotte exclaimed.

"I hate to say it, but I do agree with that outcome" Laura agreed.

"Well, well, well, looks like the IS isn't as strong as many say" A voice exclaimed.

The standing IS users all turned to see a sinister looking man with platinum blonde hair. He had a sinister looking smirk on ridden on his face and his eyes were a blood red. Not only that, but he was also dressed like a typical bad guy, in a black trench coat with leather shoes and gloves.

"Who are you?" Tatenashi questioned.

"I am Peter Harrison, I'm sure you heard of me" Peter introduced, "I would suggest surrendering, you are highly outnumbered"

Looking around, Chifuyu could tell that he was right, most of their units were down for the count while his had more numbers. Leaving with no choice, she dropped her weapon and surrendered. While the other IS Users that were still standing were hesitant, they reluctantly complied. All the soldiers removed their IS accessories, and cuffed them, taking everyone to the prisons while the injured ones were treated at the infirmary. While the soldiers were packing each person in a separate cell, Harrison took notice of Houki.

"And aren't you the younger sibling of the IS's creator?" Peter asked.

"Why does it matter?" Houki questioned.

"You will be quiet the bargaining chip when it comes to your sister" Peter said, leaving her in her cell.

"Oh no" Houki whispered to herself.

"You told me you have a report?" Peter asked.

"Yes sir, it seems we have had materials stolen and that two unknown people have broken into one of our premises and stole some things" The commanding officer explained.

"Drat, I bet Akira has something to do with this" Peter exclaimed.

Meanwhile

Currently, Derek, Ichika, and Sarah were rummaging through a bunch of desks in Lab 1 of Harrison's. There were a lot of files that involved the makings of a machine that could bring the entire multiverse together. However, during their scavenger hunt, a soldier so happened to walk in on them.

"What are you three doing?" The soldier questioned.

"Uh, I am putting these files in order" Derek replied.

"Yeah, just organising it" Ichika added.

"Ok, have a nice day" The soldier said, walking off.

The trio sighed, thinking they got away, only to hear the soldier realising what was going on which led to him running back. Before he could react, Sarah tripped him, causing him to tumble over and drop his gun. The soldier got up to fight and almost punched Derek, luckily, he dodged it and proceeded to push a swivel chair in front of the soldier, pushing him back. Getting off the chair, he charged, but Ichika threw a bottle under his foot, causing him to slip. This led to the soldier falling onto a wheeled table which flung him outside the window.

"Aren't we on the third floor?" Sarah asked.

"Yeah, we are" Ichika answered.

The three of them went outside to look at where the soldier had fallen, he was clearly dead. But before anyone could be afraid of being seen as a murderer, they noticed something very peculiar. The blood he was bleeding was coloured purple. Intrigued, they grabbed a bunch of blankets and ran out of the building to wrap the body and take it with them. Hopping into the truck, Lucas took them back, a little confused as to why they had something large on them.

Back at the lab

"So, did you three get anything useful?" Akira asked.

"Yeah, we have a bunch of the files that have plans on building a machine to combine the multiverse" Derek replied, giving his father the files.

"Great, that should help us out" Akira said, until he looked over and saw the wrapped body, "What's that?"

"A soldier caught us, and we accidentally killed him" Ichika answered, "However, we took him because he seemed to be bleeding purple blood"

"That's strange, a human's blood is usually red, with the low chance of it being blue" Akira exclaimed, "Put him on the table, we need to check him"

After unwrapping the body and placing him on the table, Akira checked the body to see if there was anything he could find. Upon further inspection, he was a bit lost, so the trio summoned their counterparts from U5. When the portals opened, their counterparts appeared, they looked the same as the originals, except they wore lab coats and had protective glasses in their coat pockets. They examined the body for roughly an hour, luckily, they figured things out.

"This appears to not be a human, but a bio-engineered creature" Derek5 explained.

"The lab workers have used the Geratonium to form a working species that can think, talk, act, and function almost like a human being" Sarah5 added.

"However, they do not have certain aspects of humans, like the need to consume food for energy, or needing to use the bathroom" Ichika5 stated.

"And judging by the DNA patterns, they managed to splice it to give these creatures superhuman strength, stamina, and being able to go days without sleep" Derek5 pointed out.

"How were we able to kill this guy then?" Sarah questioned.

"They are not particularly intelligent, so they can easily be fooled by tactics" Ichika5 answered.

Suddenly, a phone began ringing during the explanation. Ichika realised it was his, pulling it out, the caller ID said Dan.

"Hey Dan, what's up?" Ichika greeted.

"ICHIKA, YOU'VE GOTTA HELP ME!!!" Dan cried.

"Woah, what is it?" Ichika questioned.

"The IS Units got captured, it's on the news, my sister has been caught" Dan answered.

"Wait, what?" Ichika replied.

"Please, I'm begging you, I need your help" Dan begged.

"I'll send you the address of my location, we can work things out" Ichika told him.

"Thank you" Dan thanked before hanging up.

"What's going on?" Derek asked.

"We need to see the news" Ichika explained.

Akira turned on the television in the lab to the news channel to see what was going on. Reporters were explaining that the IS Units were sent to stop Peter Harrison, but they were defeated and been held captive. Tabane Shinonono was told that if she doesn't hand over 1,000,000,000 Yen (8755418 USD), they will not hesitate to kill her sister. A lot of chaos has sprung up from this, it was only a matter of time before worse comes to worse.

"Oh no, I have to save her" Ichika exclaimed.

"Don't worry, we'll do it" Derek assured.

"You sure?" Ichika asked.

"Yeah, we're a team, you can count on us" Sarah added.

"Thanks guys" Ichika thanked.

"Looks like there's more at stake, it's time we take initiative" Akira announced, "You three can save her and other people, I will work on the machine with Lucas"

"Right" The trio cheered.
