Chapter- 6

“Hyung sik, we are friends and we’ll forever be but ….”

This all time when he was confessing, Ha eun stared in his eyes and all she could see was love and affection. And that’s when she decided that she’ll confess her feelings too.

Ha eun started liking prince Hyung sik when they used to go to different places in Joseon to visit. She saw how Hyung sik always helped her and treated her. As a friends both princes were equal for her but as more than a friend, she felt something for Hyung sik.

“Hyung sik, we are friends and we’ll forever be but sometime ago I realized that I like you too and more than a friend, and its true I like someone and that person is Prince Park Hyung sik. I like you too Hyung sik.” Replied Ha eun with a genuine and loving smile.

Hyung sik was ready to hear the words ‘I don’t like you back, Hyung sik’ but he didn’t expected to hear just opposite.

After hearing those words, Hyung sik’s face was plastered with a huge grin and he couldn’t stop himself from taking Ha eun in his warm embrace.

Hyung joon’s POV

Today I realized that there are not much days left when princess Ha eun and prince Ha Jun will leave for Goryeo. So I gathered up all my courage and decided to confess to princess ha eun.

That’s when I saw prince Ha Jun in the garden and stepped towards him. “What is going on Ha jun? You are looking so happy today?” I asked Ha Jun who was smiling.

“Nothing Hyung-joon, I’m just in a very good mood today. What about you? You seem so nervous and you are sweating too?” he asked me back and I didn’t knew that my nervousness was that obvious. “Ohh, nothing. I’m not nervous, it’s just a bit hot today. Anyways um have you seen Ha eun?” I asked him as I thought her brother knows where she is.

“Ohh, Ha eun is at the lake. She wanted to go there as she really loves nature.” And just as he said that I started to walk towards lake. “Umm, I’ll see you soon Ha Jun, I have to go somewhere. Bye!” and I ran off from there.

Hyung joon’s POV

As I was about to reach towards Ha eun, I saw she wasn’t alone. So I moved a bit forward to get a clearer view of the other person. They both were hugging each other and as the realization hit me, it was Hyung sik with Ha eun. After standing there for a while, shocked, I heard their conversation.

“I’ll never leave you Ha eun and I’ll always protect you.” Hyung sik said to Ha eun who was smiling so lovingly to him.

And that’s when I clenched my chest. I was heartbroken as the girl I liked a lot was hugging my brother. He liked her too and she liked him back.

Never in my life had I known that I will like the same girl who my brother likes too. I realized that I wouldn’t be able to see them together every day. I wouldn’t be able to wake up to realize that my love is with my brother. It’s not like I’ll break them two apart. I’ve always wanted my brother to be happy despite all the fights we have. And I never in my life will enjoy the sad face of ha eun too. But I can’t also see them together so it would be better if I leave, if I go far away from them. I’ll die for my brother, my love and my heart who wouldn’t be able to shatter into pieces every day, every moment.
