You and anna made it to the almost-started ceremony. You sat in the front row while Anna stood up to stand a little away from the Crown Prince.

You glanced at the prince from the corner of your eyes as you look at him, he has certainly grown up from the clumsy boy she used to know.

When you looked at him you caught him hurriedly turning away before you noticed. He was purposely avoiding looking in your direction, you sighed.

You suppose some of it was your fault, maybe you didn't support him as much as you should have, and maybe if you did, he wouldn't have pushed you away.

You still remember the day he moved into his new room from his and Anna's shared one. The day before was the last day you had a proper conversation with him that was not one-sided.

You would be lying if you said that it hadn't been lonely without him though. Anna was a great friend and sister, you admit, but she wasn't...him. For a long time, you missed your old best friend and sometimes you still do, but with time it gets easier.

Despite what you should or shouldn't have done, you were hurt. It was his coronation ceremony for god's sake! And he couldn't even look in your direction. You could have done a lot of things differently, but so could he have.

You watch as Elias bows down in front of the priest as he puts on the crown on his head. The priest takes the pillow which had the Orb and Scepter laying on it and presents them to Elias.

Elias went in to take them in his hands but before he does the priest interrupted him and murmurs something that you couldn't hear from your seat.

He reluctantly pulls his gloves off and put them on the pillow, a nervous look present on his face. You suppose nerves were getting the best of him at the moment. You would have said that he wasn't the one to get nervous much but you didn't know him anymore.

And that stings.

It shouldn't, you should be over it by now but you weren't, you don't know why but the way he avoids your direction, it hurts and you can see it hurts him too.

You'll admit, it will be nice if you, Anna and Elias can get back to how you were but you know that will be relatively hard, if not impossible.

You saw as he took the orb and the sceptre with shaky hands and as soon as the priest announce him the king he hastily put them back into the pillow, pulling his glove on quickly and turning around to face the crowd with a small smile on his face.

This time you diverted your eyes before he could meet them. Two can play this game.

You couldn't help but think that the whole thing with the gloves was a bit odd though. But you let it go, this only this time.
