Life goes on

Pooja doesn't have anything to do with it, she has no faults. Please don't question her.
A:: why is she living with you? Why is she hiding the truth? Why is she living like this?
Raj:: Ayaan it's complicated and it's not Pooja's fault.
A:: then why is she living like this? Why is she showing the world that she is happily married?
Pooja sat on the other side of the door crying and Ayaan on this side.
Raj:: Ayaan you know my truth and I love Karan but I had no choice but to get married, I thought I could balance it out, I know it's my fault I know I cheated her.
Ayaan was so angry he caught him by his collar
A:: how dare you? How dare you hurt my Pooja? How dare you cheat on her?
Karan came running trying to calm Ayaan down. Pooja came out running, she pulled Ayaan away
P:: Ayaan stop it, what are you doing? Please leave right now. This is my personal matter and you have no right to interfere.
Ayaan's eyes welled up hearing that, you could hear the sound of his heart break. But he was adamant and this time he didn't care what she had to say but he wasn't going anywhere, he didn't care what she said or thought he couldn't let her suffer and live a life full of lies.
A:: no, I'm not going anywhere, what you going to do? Call the cops? Beat me up? Sue me? I don't care, I am not leaving and I am not going to let you live like this.
P:: Ayaan I don't need help, I didn't ask you to do anything please leave
A:: I never said I want to help, I just said I won't let you live like this
P:: what if I say I like it like this?
A:: sure you can? Then I think your family should know it too that you like it
P:: you can't blackmail me like this
A:: oh yea? I will do everything to get you out of it. You can do anything to me, you can kill me I don't care. Anyway I've been alone and I've given up on my life but I can't let you do the same.
P:: I never asked you to wait for me
A:: you never asked for anything and I never claimed anything from you. I am not complaining about anything because I am happy with my memories with my one sided love. And I will protect my love at any cost. I'm not asking you to come to me, I'm just asking you to come out of this life.

Now Pooja had enough she pushed Ayaan and asked him to get out, he was not going to listen, he let her push him, he told her that he will not move till he knows why she is doing this. She started hitting him, she was throwing her arms on him and slowly her arms got tired she rested them on his chest and put her head on them and started crying
P:: why why why? Ayaan why do you want to know?
A:: would you want the precious person on your life to be unhappy, would you leave him to suffer even without trying to make things better?
P:: Ayaan you don't understand, it's not so easy.
A:: then make me understand, I don't want anything from you I just want you to be happy, at least I can die peacefully.
(Ayaan just hugged her)
A:: Pooja, I'll be waiting for you to talk to me. I'm sorry I barged in like this but I had no choice. Whenever you are ready all you have to do is knock on the door. I'm not saying just leave everything and don't care about anything, all I'm saying care about yourself, sometimes people might not be able to help but opening up to someone who is ready to listen that can make life much easier. Not every friend can solve all your problems but you don't give up your friendship because those friends were there even when they didn't understand your problem. Now look at me, promise me you will think about yourself, promise me...
She nodded and cried some more, hugging Ayaan.
Karan:: Pooja what you have done for me and Raj we can never repay you for this but it's not that we don't want you to be happy. We know we've been very selfish but if there's a chance we can fix things little bit then we will definitely try that. Nothing wrong having a friend babes...
Ayaan left that evening hoping that Pooja will open up, he knew this is a sensitive issue and he didn't want to push her too hard but then he didn't want to give up.
More than Raj it was Karan who felt bad for Pooja because he knows her feeling. He followed Ayaan to his apartment and told him "I want to help you help Pooja".
Karan told him what actually happened::
Raj didn't tell Karan when he got married he had no clue Raj had a separate life on the other side of the world. Karan went against his family, he came out and told everyone about his sexuality but Raj couldn't do it instead he married Pooja. She moved to Delhi and lived with her in laws for more than a year, Raj was there for two months and he got lucky as he got a chance to come to America from his company. I was already in America doing my higher studies, he never told me what happened in India, if he wanted he could bring Pooja with him but he lied that it will take time for the spouse's visa, I know he has done a big crime but he was always good to her, he did everything that a good husband does and Pooja was building her dream world in India and at last because of family pressure he had to bring her here and that's when he told me about Pooja. I was heart broken, I was torn in to pieces but he always told me that he only loved me Pooja was only to keep the family happy. He promised me that he will figure this out but he needs time. But Raj was too scared to say anything to anyone. Almost two years passed and Raj would always say he has to travel because of work and he would come and stay with me, Pooja is a very understanding girl, she tried to adjust with his life style, she never complained about anything also she was very independent smart girl she was working in a good company but ofcourse she was bored she wanted her husband but he was not there most of the time, that's when she started pressuring him for a baby but that's one thing he didn't want to do. He felt it would be unfair as he's already done everything wrong with her, and that's when he thought he will tell her the truth.
At last after three years of marriage he told her the truth. It was a big shock for her, her life crumbled, she wanted to leave right away. That's when I met Pooja I could feel what she was going through ofcourse I begged her to forgive u. She was angry she wanted to tell the truth to everyone which is very normal, Raj begged her to give him few days and he will tell everyone but next day we got a call that his father passed away in a car accident and there was no way he could give another shock to the family. Pooja has always been a good daughter in law, they all love her, adore her and she didn't have the heart to say anything to her in laws that time. She wanted to move out but she was vulnerable, she was going through depression, she even tried hurting herself, that's when I convinced her not to move out, also Raj felt it's his responsibility to take care of her as she couldn't even work that time, she was having anxiety attacks, she got very sick and I started taking care of her, that's when we became very close, we could feel each other's pain and she told me to move in with them because she didn't want me to lose my love as I was alone too. Also she felt soon things will be fine, she will be able to tell her in laws and start new life but I have no one but Raj, as my family disowned me.
Pooja decided to talk to her parents, at first she told her mom that she was having trouble with Raj her mom said she needs to understand him and adjust. When she said Raj cheated on her still she got a shocking response, her mother told her sometimes men can do such mistakes as long as they come back, she shouldn't make a big fuss about it. Also Raj takes care of her, gives her everything so she shouldn't complain. Her mother told her that what would society say if she gets divorced, who would marry her and what her family will say. Life will become difficult, Pooja was was persistent she tried talking to her dad and he had a heart attack. Her mother blamed her for her dad's heart attack. She had no choice but to shut up, but she didn't want to live like this she felt she needs to talk to her mother in law but she just didn't have the heart to hurt her. And last two and half years we are living like this, she is caught in a situation where she can't go anywhere and the problem is she has a very soft heart, she can't hurt anyone, also she still blames herself for her dad's heart attack. Raj always felt guilty and told her that she should at least make friends may be even date people, we even tried hooking her up but nothing worked. Obviously she had feelings for Raj as she married him but ofcourse after she found out the truth obviously they no more share husband wife relationship and it has been very difficult for Raj to even keep that husband thing going as he never liked girls. There are times she didn't understand why he always tries to avoid her, even their sex life was suffering but ofcourse she was a Virgin when she got married in the beginning she thought this is how it is for every one but soon she felt it shouldn't be like this and again she compromised because girls in our society shouldn't talk about sex. She was already suffering and family wanted grandkids that's when Raj said he can't have kids atleast people stopped talking shit about her.
Unfortunately it's always us who messes up things and the girls suffer in our society.
Ayaan just weeped thinking about Pooja, he didn't know how to help her, he knew the truth will hurt too many people but then this lie is ruining not only Pooja's life but also Karan and Raj. They can't ruin their life just because society feels differently. But the most important issue was to heal Pooja mentally emotionally. She looks strong from inside but ofcourse everyone forgot about her mental health. Next few days Pooja avoided Ayaan, they did meet in the lift twice she only said hi and smiled that's it. Friday evening her sis and brother in law had to go somewhere so Ayaan was baby sitting, he picked up the kids and not only his sister's kids his Jija's brother has a one year old and they couldn't find a baby sitter so Ayaan happily brought that little one too. As he was coming upstairs with three kids and their stuff in his hands Pooja was there too as she just came back after a walk.
P:: Ayaan? What's are you doing with three kids?
A:: oh Hi!! Oh meet my niece Arohi and my nephew Arav and this one is their cousin and he is going to be one year old this month his name is Sameer.
P:: oh my God this is Ananya Di's kids... how cute!!! But what are you doing with them alone? Where are they?
A:: I'm babysitting, I mean I always do it... I mean this little addition is new but they couldn't find anyone at the last moment.
P:: let me help you with the bags
Arohi:: mamu is this your girlfriend?
P:: Hahahha not really but yes we are friends and neighbors too. In fact I am your mom's friend too.
Arav:: hi Mami
A:: Arav shut up what's wrong? Sorry about that my Jiju told him to call every girl they see with me Mami hoping that one day I will bring them a real Mami
P:: no worries it's okay...
Pooja trying to get the bags but then the baby grabbed her hand and wouldn't let go so she just carried the little one instead of the bags.
A:: wow he went to you so easily, he doesn't go to strangers that easily.
Arav:: Sameer likes Mami
A:: Arav her name is Pooja
Arav:: oh Pooja Mami
P:: don't worry it's okay
This was the first time Pooja went inside his apartment. It was very tastefully decorated, very elegant and neat
P:: wow, very nicely decorated, also so clean.
A:: hahahah actually I have lot of time after work so I clean. But don't worry after today it won't look the same next two days because these two will make sure that I'm busy next two days cleaning.
Pooja was trying to give the baby to Ayaan but the baby wouldn't let go. She felt really bad coz even she wanted to play with the kids.
A:: we don't mind if you stay, we would love for you to spend some time with us.
P:: are you sure?
Arav:: Pooja Mami play with Arav....
The kids were all excited to have Pooja coz now they have another person to play with
P:: so how long you have to keep them?
A:: my niece and nephew will sleep here I'll drop them in the morning but Sameer's parents will pick him up after the party.
It was a crazy evening, they played all childhood games with the kids, ate lot of candy made a mess of the house. Pooja was having so much fun. Even Karan popped in for sometime and joined the party. Kids were having a ball. At one point Ayaan was carrying Sameer and he started sucking on to his chest. Pooja and Karan couldn't stop laughing seeing the wet area around Ayaan's nipples. Ayaan just smiled seeing Pooja having fun. Karan had to go to work and left as he had night shift in the hospital. It was almost 11pm the kids were tired so Pooja helped them to go to sleep, she came out of the room and saw Sameer planned to stay wide awake and Ayaan was playing with him. She sat beside him, Sameer almost jumped to Pooja and put his head on her shoulder wrapping his arms around her neck..
P:: I think he is sleepy
A:: what a traitor..... all this time he was giving me hard time and he saw you and he wants to sleep.
