I swear if i could, I'd marry my bed. It's just so perfect. My head hit the pillow, and if it weren't for what just happened, I'd be knocked out again. I sigh.
"why'd you do that, you could have just let him yell at me and leave.." I asked curious.
Venom was dead silent for a moment before he spoke.
"Because....I-.... you deserve better. No man, especially your romantic partner should talk to you like that," He said. I could tell he was going to say something else but I let it go.
"Thanks again, I wouldn't have been able to get him to leave me alone if you didn't step in the way you did," I said, trying to shift the conversation.
"It was nothing, plus if he kept yelling he was going to give me a headache," he said, attempting to lighten the mood.
I giggled, sitting up and moving the hair from my face. Venom appeared in front of me, well at least his face did.
"Yes venom?" I asked, his face slowly getting closer.
"Nothing, just getting a better look at you," he said stopping an inch from my face.
"okay," I awkwardly laugh to ease a little of the tension. Why was he so close.
Suddenly I got a text from Ms. Yen. I look and she texted me a code 305.
"We got another one," i said opening my window.
"Yay," Venom said as he engulfed me once again and jumped out the window. Venom always loved when we got another bad guy to teach a lesson, mostly because Ms. Yen always let us get whatever we wanted out of her shop after.
It was a quick swing around the city til we made it to the shop. Venom gave me my body back and I casually walked in to Ms. Yen being held at gunpoint. Venom took my body, ate the guy and gave me my body back.
"Thank you Venom," Ms. Yen said casually. I waved to her and made my way to the back where all the good beer was.
"You're welcome," Venom said, high fived Ms. Yen as I walked. I grabbed a 6 pack of beer from the fridge and head out.
I walked back to my apartment and put the beer in the fridge. Today's been one hell of a day. Me and my ex broke up, and I stopped Ms. Yen from getting robbed. Plus free beer.
