Death is tough and trauma effects on the hearts of those who souls we pray are well and per-chance reborn somewhere else. Upon the frozen grass, sat one tombstone identical to its peers. Yet this one brought the greatest flood of tears on the peoples faces. For those we love, for the strong bonds we make, bypass all logic and reason.

The tombstone that lay was of grey rock. It shone of the ever reflecting light from the beaming sun into the world, as their stood a crown gathered around the coffin.

"Michael... was not always a good husband," the priest started his speech. "Not always a good citizen. He did not die a hero's death."

"But he was a man," he continued. "Our Lord was crucified with two thieves."

As the priest carried on his speech, a man in his late 40s wearing grey aviator sunglasses, wondered around. He scoffed at the use of words from the priest himself regarding the criminal's death, whilst taking a drag of his cigar.

"So perhaps... we should not judge Michael... We are born of sin, and we die in sin..."

Behind the fence of the cathedral was another man in his late 30s who crept up silently and watched the memorial take place. He was dressed all in black wearing a pair of grey aviator sunglasses and a black beanie.

"And in this, Michael..." He inhaled his lit cigar listening to the speech before throwing the cancer stick on the ground. He craned his neck, and left not wanting to hear anymore.

He slowly walked past the other gravestones, putting his hands in his pocket. He started to get closer towards the exit, until he came across a familiar headstone. He stopped abruptly and started frowning when he read the name.

Beloved friend and sister

"Hey sweetheart," his voice starts cracking. "It's me again. I just thought I'd visit one last time and say goodbye," he got on one knee next to the coffin.

"Tracey and Jimmy miss you. Always asking about their favourite aunt," he chuckled slightly continuing, "I know Amanda also misses her best friend."

His eyes watered over and he tried to blink them away, but the tears rolled down his face. "Fuck," he wipes his eyes furiously.

"I-im, so sorry this happened baby girl," he choked out, "it wasn't supposed to go down, especially like this," he shook his head swallowing thickly.

"I know that for one is that things haven't been the same without you," he admitted, "and I don't know if things will be the same anymore?"
