The ducks, minus Dewey, once again walked through the cave to the next trail.
On their way they noticed some changes to the colourful crystal tunnel. The beautiful shining crystals, glowing in all kinds of colours were now just a light and clear blue. Also, the walls and floor were wet with water droplets from the higher crystals, hitting the ducks a few times.
"Ugh, when do we get to the next trail? This path seems to stretch endlessly."Louie groaned as he got hit by another droplet of cold water.
Della turned to him with a smile. "Oh, come on, enjoy this adventure. You're with us after all."She pulled him to her for a little side hug."Also, you didn't complain while on our way to the trail of smarts."
He laughed a bit." Yeah, but that way was beautiful and majestic. This is cold, bland and wet."
Della now laughed."That is true. But it'll be worth it when we find the mirror and get all the answers we seek."
Louie smiled up at her. She seems to be a really good mother.
The conversation was interrupted by a shout from way ahead.
"Guys, hurry up! You gotta see this!"
They looked at each other and then ran down the tunnel, while trying not to slip, and finally reaching the end.
The room they ended up in was breathtaking. It was a beautiful crystal cave with a little crystal clear lake and a stone path standing and a huge crystal hanging above. The reflections of the light in the lake made waves of light on the walls and there was a calming melody coming from who-know-where.(Sorry I'm bad at describing anything.)
The ducks looked around amazed until they noticed Dewey on the stone path. They walked over to him and looked down at the clear water.
"So, what now?"Della asked.
Dewey turned to her."Isn't it obvious? Diving in of course." He said turning around ready to jump.
But Huey stopped him."No, wait! It looks pretty deep you could drown. Also what about the rhyme. It says 'dive deep into it's sound', but what sound?"
Just then they heard something.
Aha aha~
And saw a bright blue light from above. They looked up at the huge crystal above the lake and it was glowing. Then the glowing started to drip from it to form a small drop of light which then fell into the lake sinking deeper.
Aha ahaaa~
Dewey turned back to his older brother,"Like I said..."and then quickly turned around again and jumped, while the others tried to stop him."OBVIOUS!!!"*Splash*
"DEWEY!!!"
But he didn't hear them. He was already focused on swimming after the glowing drop. He got closer and closer until he finally caught it. Then, for a moment there was a great blinding light that made him shut his eyes.
When he opened them he was back in the cave out of the water. He was confused."huh? What?"
"DEWEY!"
He turned around to face the others. His family and friend were looking pretty mad.
"Dewey!" Della looked really pissed."What where you thinking?! Do you have any idea how how dangerous that was?!"
"You could have drowned!"Huey said.
"We could have lost you!"Webby added.
Dewey was shocked. His family, especially Webby and Della, never yelled at him like that.
"I-I was just trying to..."
He was cut off by Scrooge."That was totally irresponsible of ya! Ya can't just jump into every danger!"
"B-but..."
"No buts!"Della interrupted."You just jump right into things without considering the consequences it might bring for not only you but your family!"She sighed deeply."I can't believe you are my son."
These few words of disappointment, shattered his whole world.
I'm alive! And back into DuckTales. Oh man did it take me long to make this. Both my motivation and inspiration for this fic was just gone, was in my non-existent basement. Sorry for being gone for so long, but finally I have motivation to write again. Anyway, I'll make this trail in parts too for it being to long otherwise and me not liking to write long chapters like in my latest books. And maybe I'll publish a new DuckTales book today, so at least I'm productive today. Well see you in the next chapter, or my new book, who knows.
Have a great day🌞 or night🌛.
