The trail of bravery part 2

Screw what I said! I want to finally finish this book. Anyways, enjoy.

"I can't take it!"Huey shouted."It's been too long!" He gasped."What if he's..."He could even finish before he started to hyperventilate. Webby came up to him to comfort him.

It's been two whole suffocating minutes and Dewey hasn't come back up. His whole family is panicking. Especially Donald, Huey and Della.

"What's taking him so long?!" Della was losing it. Something might have happened to her little boy! She couldn't lose another son!"Ohhh, this is bad, this is soooo bad. I never should have let him dive in."

Louie watched as the family was completely freaking out. He too was worried for Dewey, but he also knew that Dewey's very persistent and has a stupid amount of luck. It'd be a miracle if died somehow.

He looked at Della who rambled on and on about how she should have stopped him to jump in the first place.

He decided enough is enough. He won't waste another second with watching, he needed to do something.

With a determined face, he went up the path and got ready to jump. The ducks didn't notice, to caught up in there panic.

Everyone but Huey. When he Louie ready to jump, he immediately shot up and ran over to stop him.

"LOUIE, NO!"

That got the others attention. When they realized what Louie was about to do, Della was quick to follow Huey up to Louie to prevent him from jumping.

But not quick enough. When Huey reach Louie to try to stop him, he accidentally ran into Louie and both fell in the lake.

"NO!"

Della fell to her knees, but quickly stood back up to jump in herself but Donald and Scrooge held her back.

"NO! Let me go!"She fought against their grip.

"No! No more jumping!" Scrooge ordered.

"HUEY! LOUIE!"

Both boys couldn't hear her because Louie already went deeper to find Dewey with Huey trying to get Louie to come back up.

Just then Louie saw a faint glow in the corner of his eye. He turned his head and saw who he was looking for. When Huey finally reached Louie, he stopped and looked where Louie was looking and saw his brother too.

The two quickly swam over to him. When they reached him something immediately seemed off to them. His eyes were all glowing white and he looked really upset and broken. He also held a blue light in his right hand.

After seeing the look on Deweys face made the other boys panic. They began to shake him out of his trance like stage but it didn't work.

"Come on, wake up!"Louie thought. He didn't want to lose one of his best friends. He and Huey became like his brothers in the time they spent together.

Aha aha~

When he heard this call from before, the little blue light in Deweys hand immediately caught his attention and suddenly he realized that must be the cause of..... whatever Dewey's seeing.

He tapped Hueys shoulder to get his attention, which worked. When Huey looked at him he pointed out the light. Huey immediately understood. He and Louie both went to touch the light too, Dewey had a death grip on it.

Huey and Louie tried hard to get the light out of his hands but to no avail. Dewey wouldn't let go, his grip only got tighter.

"Ugh, what's going on his head?!"

What's going on is that he is yelled at by his family and friend.

"What is wrong with you?!"

"Why can't you just listen?!"

"You're a disgrace to this family!"

Dewey cowered on the ground with tears in his eyes, surrounded by the other ducks." I'm sorry!"

"No sorry can change what you are. A disappointment."

He looked up at his 'mother', glaring down at him, teary eyed. But then he saw her..... glitch? His eyes widened in confusion.

"What ar-re you sta-ar-re a-at, boy."Della said constantly glitching.

That's when it dawned him. None of this was real. Knowing this his confidence came back and he stood up, glaring at his 'family'.

"What ya glaring at?"

He kept glaring."You are not real."These four words immediately made the glitch and crumble. The ducks illusions eyes widened."And I'm not afraid of you. My real family loves me no matter what and they would never do that."

He stood strong while the world around him fell apart and the illusions of his family members disappeared. Everyone but Della. They had a stare contest none backing down.

Della sighed."You are very courageous."But then her frown turned into a smile."Good."Then she disappeared and everything went white.

Huey and Louie were still trying to open Deweys hand when it suddenly opened and enveloped both in a bright white light.
