Hope Mikaelson had woken up early to get dressed for her first day of the Salvatore Boarding School. To say that she was excited was an understatement. Hayley and Rebekah had both helped her pick out an outfit.
Hope sat in the back seat of the car as she felt a swirl of excitement swirl through her but couldn't control her nerves. Her parents sat in the front of the car while her Aunt Rebekah sat beside her. They arrived at school and were parked outside when Hope noticed the Headmistress's son, Nate, who she had met yesterday. She couldn't help but glance at him as she felt her cheeks blush.
Rebekah looked to see who her niece was gawking at and commented. "He's cute. You should go for it." Hope got flustered when she realised that she was caught staring at a cute guy.
"Definitely." Hayley agreed as she noticed the boy from yesterday. Even though she may not like Cassie, she wanted Hope to be happy and it seemed that she had a crush on her son.
"That won't be happening." Klaus grumbled to which Hayley laughed and Rebekah rolled her eyes.
"Alright, do you want us to come in with you?" Hayley asked as she locked eyes with her daughter.
"No." Hope denied shaking her head. Hope said goodbye to her aunt and parents and walked out of the car and into the school.
She walked out of Mrs. Forbes Salvatore's office and knocked on her door.
"Come in." Hope heard her voice call out. She opened the door and saw a green-eyed man and dark blonde hair standing beside Cassie.
"Oh Hope, sweetie, I apologise I forgot to give you your schedule." Cassie spoke kindly as she had expected her visit.
"It's fine." Hope replied, reassuring her.
Cassie handed Hope her schedule. "Here's your schedule. Do you want me to call someone to show you to your classroom or will you manage on your own?"
"I'll be fine, Mrs. Salvatore." Hope smiled at the lady and made her way to class.

Hope managed to find the classroom she was supposed to be in and found out that the teacher wasn't there. Many people were talking amongst themselves. She scanned the class and found the blonde and brunette from yesterday, Evelyn and Eleanora. There was a spare seat next to them and there was a spare spot near this brunette who was sitting by herself.
Hope was scared to go sit near Evelyn and Eleanora especially since what her father did to Evelyn's mother. She decided to make her way towards her hoping the brunette wouldn't mind her presence.
"Is there anyone sitting here?" Hope nervously asked as the girl looked up from her book.
"No. My name's Vanessa Adams." The girl named Vanessa was introduced as she offered her hand to her.
