Eleanora teleported herself a few metres away from the entrance of the Salvatore house. She could feel the heavy tears in her eyes that just wanted to fall, but she resisted. Now was not the time. She felt bad for breaking up with Nate when he was just worried about her. She didn't mean to get mad, but she just thought that maybe he'd be happier without her. She saw the way his eyes were frustrated and tired.
Eleanora took a deep breath and knocked on the door as Cassandra opened the door.
"Hey honey, where's Nate?" Cassandra questioned, confused. She thought that they were on a date.
"He's on his way back. Evelyn texted that something happened, so I teleported here." Eleanora said, leaving out the fact that she broke up with her son.
"Oh yeah, she's upstairs. She's better though." Cassandra replied as she thought about what happened. Eleanora was confused but decided to ask Evelyn herself.
She made her way upstairs to Evelyn's room and found her and Stephanie sitting on her big king-sized bed.
"Now, what happened?" Eleanora asked, plopping down beside the two.
Evelyn explained everything that happened. And, to say that Eleanora was shocked was an understatement.
Evelyn was hanging out with Hayden when she accidentally cut herself causing blood to come out. Hayden's vampire face came out and he tried to resist. Evelyn tried calming down, but the scent of the blood was just too much for him. He lunged at her, attempting to attack her, but Evelyn used her magic to push him away from her and snapped his neck.
Eleanora listened to every single detail and took it in. Evelyn could've gotten hurt. Something bad did actually happen. There was a reason why Evelyn texted her. Eleanora couldn't stop the burning feeling in her chest. Her actions had led to her breaking with up with Nate. Nobody else was to blame but her. However, what's done was done and was irreversible.
Eleanora felt that Nate was about to arrive home and told the girls that she was going home.
"Why don't you stay?" Stephanie asked. Usually, if it was this late, Eleanora would've stayed at their house.
"Mom wants me to come back home. We're spending the day together tomorrow." Eleanora partially lied. She was going to have a little mother-daughter day with her mom, but her mother didn't ask for her to come back.
Evelyn and Stephanie understood and said their goodbyes to the girl. Eleanora teleported herself back to her house, and in her bedroom.
She sighed deeply and prepared herself for the nightmares. All Eleanora wanted to do was cry but she knew if she started crying that she may not stop. She felt this overwhelming feeling in her chest, and it made her want to just scream and let it all out. But she couldn't. If she did, someone would probably get hurt. Just like everyone else around her. They either leave, get hurt or even worse, die.
