Back to my old life

"let's unpack I guess..."

The sun shone through the blinds, into my new room. I noticed I was laying on the floor. I must have fallen asleep while unpacking.

In front of me I saw the diamond heart necklace Wilbur gave me the day we started dating. I miss those times... I didn't want to see since it would remind me of him. That's why I put it back in the pink box and hid it under my bed. 

After unpacking a the last small boxes, George knocked on my door. "Hey, I made breakfast, are you hungry?". "Kinda, I'll be downstairs in a minute". I told him as he closed my door and made his way back downstairs. 

Timeskip

We had both eaten the breakfast George made. After that he went to his room to prepare for an upcoming stream, meanwhile I prepared my outfit for tomorrow morning since work would be starting again. Back to my old life.

I decided I would spent the rest of my day reading books. Escaping from reality with fictional fantasy. A way I liked to ignore my problems, try to forget them. And like that I finished three whole books. I wasn't motivated to do anything else, to stream, making myself pretty, singing, nothing helped except escaping from my thoughts by reading. 

I was getting tired even though it was still only seven in the evening. I decided to text George I would be leaving for work early in the morning. After I had done that I made sure my outfit for tomorrow was complete and charge my phone. I then laid down under the warm and thick covers. Soon after I dozed off to sleep...

'"Hey I missed you love" Wilbur said as he kissed my cheek when I took of my jacket. "How was work?" "It was a normal hard working day" I laughed. "How was your day?" I said sitting on the couch. Wilbur then sat next to me. "Well... I've been thinking about some things and I think it's better if you get out of my life" Wilbur said. Suddenly we were high up in the hair. "Goodbye my former lover" He said as I started dropping. I screamed for help as I kept falling and falling.'

"Woah hey are you okay there?!" I heard a voice say. I woke up breathing really fast, it felt like I couldn't get any air inside my lungs. "Yeah I'm fine don't worry" I smiled at George who worriedly stood next to my bed."It doesn't seem so though, you were screaming for help in ur sleep and your breathing is very unstable". "It's nothing, just a nightmare. You should get back to sleep, it's in the middle of the night" I said as I glanced at the digital alarm clock that stood on my desk. "You can always talk to me, I'm here for you okay?"George said before he closed the door and left. 

I mindlessly stared at my roof. I couldn't get back to sleep. "I'm so done with everything, I just want to disappear for a short while..."

Timeskip:

Before I even knew it, it was morning again. Let's get ready for the day I guess. I was so tired that it was a whole challenge to get out of bed. I just wanted to sleep for the rest of the day, I was too unmotivated to do anything. 

I took a shower and brushed my teeth. Damn I look like shit today-. I then left the house, bringing an apple with me since I felt a little hungry. "You can do this Y/n, let's go". I told myself and then made my way to the café. 

"Hey y/n welcome back!" The older woman who owned the café greeted me. "Thank you and goodmorning I smiled at her". She's such a lovely woman. I then started my working day. The day went by quickly, without problems until someone walked in who looked oddly familliar...

"Uh hello..." "Hi..." We awkwardly greeted eachother. "Can I order a red velvet cupcake and a latte machiato to go?" "Yeah that will be six and a half pound". I then packed his order and made his coffee. Why was he here? This is so awkward but at the sametime it hurts... "Here you go, have a nice day" I told him as I gave him his order. 

He then walked out of the café. Before he was out of sight I saw him looking back one more time. I definitely missed him a lot. I wanted him to come back but I know he wouldn't... I ended our relationship, why would he want me back after that? I wished everything that happend was just a dream, but it wasn't. This was for the best, even if it hurt.
