"Screw the tradition, do you think Pat is the first one to fall in love with an Architecture student?"
"Wait a minute, don't tell me you have eyes for someone from that faculty too."
"Oi, I have a crush on a guy from Architecture."
Silence, Korn's friends throw glance at each other.
"I'm just joking."
"What the hell man?"
"Horrible joke. "
"I was shocked for a second."That was a close call. I mean, he just wanted to tease his friends, but what he said was the truth, nonetheless. Korn did have a little crush on an Architecture student, but he would be ashamed if anyone would ever find out who it was. He preferably died by walking a marathon on lego pieces or getting stabbed by a thousand needles. He really didn't like himself for falling for this guy. But feelings can't be chosen, even if you try to change them, they probably won't. he tried that already. Only the acceptance of said feelings is what made him come to peace with himself again. But he would never tell anyone about all of this.
Korn's friends would often go to the same bar. They would go there to drink beer and so did Korn, but also to be close to this one particular waiter.
"Excuse me? Wai, could you bring us another round?" Pat asked raising his hand. "Of course," he hears a voice answering somewhere behind him. It's his voice. Korn's heart beaded a little faster by the thought of the younger.Wai. Wai was this guy's name. Brown fluffy hair, plain, almost spotless clean skin and eyes that shone as bright as the clear night sky outside the city. Unfortunate for him, they didn't shine at him, never. The guy hated him, and that'll probably never change. not that he could blame him for it, he wasn't the nicest towards him in the past. And so, he just continued to tease the boy, just to be close to him. Sometimes he felt a little pathetic for doing so, but he just couldn't think of any other way. He may seem as if he was good with talking to people, but once he got really interested, all this talent and charm flies straight out of the window.
"4 beers, you're welcome," the boy said shortly as he placed 4 new filled glasses on the table in front of us. But something's wrong. He only breathily looked at us and I could sense that he's nervous, like he doesn't wanna be here right now. I mean we weren't quiet what you call friends, but normally he had that attitude on him and no matter how mean we were he kept a relatively straight face and did his best to do his job. But not this time. I also noticed him looking a little pale. I couldn't just ask, so I acted like it was nothing and just thanked for my drink and turned my attention back to the conversation my friends just had.
"So, how come you two got closer? Was it the bus stop project?" Mo just asked Pat, about his newly revealed boyfriend, with wiggly eyebrows and a big smirk.
"I already told you guys, I'm not gonna tell you y-" the conversation was cut short by the sound of a voice of another customer saying, "Waiter! I just spilled some beer here, come here and clean!" him and his friends turn towards the voice only to see a bunch of guys from the rugby team we were playing against today, one of them just spilling his beer on the ground on purposely. As Wai got over and started to clean off the ground the previous guy took out a pack of cigarettes and wanted to light them up. Wai told him not to smoke unless it's in the designated area outside the bar, the guy didn't seem very bothered by that. As a response, he only spilled out the rest of his drink on the floor for him to clean it off. It made Korn furious, not as much as Pat though, he was about to run up to them and help the waiter, but Korn tried to stop him, "don't butt in, when you were tackled on the field, he didn't give a shit either," he was honestly just worried for his friend and didn't wanna ruin the night with a fight.
The rugby guy spilled another drink on the floor, "sorry, didn't mean to," he said with a smirk, looking down on Wai. That was enough for Pat to stand up and rush over.
As the rugby guy was about to spill the next drink Pat pushed his arm against him, "sorry, didn't mean to either." And that's where the guys stood up and so did Korn, but just to convince my friend to come sit down again before he got punched in the face. On the way Korn also tackled Wai's shirt to walk him out of this situation, who seemed to stress him much more then it usually did.
For the rest of the night the rugby guy and Pat starred at each other as if they're gonna jump on each other and try to murder one another at any moment.
So later that night they actually got into a fight behind the bar, what wasn't really surprising for the boys. But to their surprise the rugby guy had a gun on him. Pat tried to take it away from him and that's why the night ended in a hospital for them. Pat was the one who got shot, the other team ran after realizing what they just did.
"Luckily it was just a graze so he didn't lose that much blood, he should be fine in a week," a nurse told them after they examined Pat. "Oh thanks god," Chang sighed loudly.
The three friends were all relieved, but something bothered Korn. Did Wai know about the gun?
