Wai's phone buzzed. As he picked up, he heard fast breathing and muffled sniffles, "Wai..., is your shift over yet?" He looked at the caller ID, "Pran?"

"Korn called..., Pat... he is in the hospital," a big sniffle, "he got shot."
Wai froze on spot, the gun.
"What about the others?" he rushed to ask. "They're okay."

Wai was almost afraid to ask, "Pat... is... is it very bad?" Another big siffle, "I don't know, Korn only called me to tell me what happened, but he couldn't tell me how bad it is yet."
Silence. "Is he gonna survive?" Wai bit his finger nervously. "I think so, Korn said it he was conscious the whole time," Pran informed. Wai closed his eyes and let out a relieved, "thank god." Pran sniffled a little calmer than before, "yes."
"Should I come over?" Wai asked worried for his friend. "Yes please."
"Ill be there in 20."

After putting his things together as fast as he could he walked out of the bar with a quick, "bye," to his co-worker. He hated himself for choosing to walk to work today, but the nearest bus only drove in about 10 minutes, so he just decided to walk back as well.

His phone buzzed again, he took it out of his pocket expecting a text from Pran asking him if he's almost there, but instead it came from Instagram.

engineer_korn65 wants to send you a message. Wai was confused, what did he want now? He clicked on the popup and read the text.

Wai smiled as he put the phone back in his pocket and entered the apartment building of his best friend.

a/n: actually didn't write further since then cus episode 11 happened & really broke my heart, but I'm planning on continuing this soon, hopefully episode 12 gets better, I haven't seen it yet.<3
