Chapter Three - Business comes first

"Hey babe" Myles said bending down to give me a kiss on the cheek..
"Playing nice now, huh?" I teased
"Look, Stel.. I'm sorry about last night. I want to tell you what's going on really, but business comes first and there's confidentiality involved.."
I sighed, I understood where he was coming from, but where was the trust he was meant to have in me?
"Is there anything you can tell me?" I asked..
"If there was, I would, Stella.. I trust you a lot, we've been friends since we were in kindergarten! But like I said.. this is private within my career.." as he said it, he gently let his fingers feel up and down my arm.. it was nice.. but was it a distraction? I felt like I was looking too far into this so instead of my current worry, I tried to enjoy the moment..

"So.." I stated, "Why are we at our old high school?"
"You remember me saying I wanted to try it in a school?" he smirked...
I got butterflies... it wasn't the ideal situation but Myles had an affect on me, one that only he could possess. This whole thing was meant to be no strings attached, but may have started to catch feelings for Myles Ordea. What had I done?
First was the beef char kway teow guy.. and now Myles??? This had to stop!

"Uh.. Myles... I got to go!" I said running off before he had time to react.
As soon as I got in my car I called Hannah through my bluetooth system and started to drive off
"Ooolala, done with your date so soon?" Hannah teased...
"We need to talk, in person!" I cried! Hannah told me to meet her at the cafe next to Crunch in 20, and when I got there, I spared no detail of my past 24 hours...

"I don't know what to say, Stella!" She said taken quite aback, "Are you okay?" She said giving her full support..
"I don't know Hannah!" I said..
"We need to think of a calm solution because this stress isn't worth it!" she said trying to talk some sense into me, and obviously she was right..
We weren't gonna get anywhere with my current state and freak out!

I told Hannah everything! From beef char kway teow guy, to Myles acting strange... and she wasn't sure what to make of the situation either...
"You've got a shift in a couple days, right?" Hannah asked...
"Yeah." I said, unsure what she was getting at;
"See if beef char kway teow guy comes in, and if he does.. try to have a chat! It could be good and give you some clarity on if this is attraction or more" Hannah suggested.
"I'll try." I said taking a sip of water, "I'll update you" I said, switching the conversation to anything other than my strange situation..

I needed to figure this out.
