Shy's POV

I wake up to the sound of a ringing bell

When I open my eyes I see Icey, Shroomie, Kyler, and Koii

"So why is nobody doing something about that?" I say sitting up, everyone looks at me, "you're the owner, we don't work here" Koii says shrugging

"Actually you do." I say looking at Koii unamused, they shrug again then walk to the gate that goes down to the storage room, "I'm gonna get a book, I'll be back" They say  walking through the gate and closing it behind them, "Oh my fucking God, I'll be right back"

I get up and walk to the ladder, the bell starts getting louder as I climb it

"CAN YOU PLEASE STOP RINGIMG THAT FUCKING BELL!?" I yell when I get behind the bar

"Oh hey sweetie, sorry...did I wake you?" Kai asks scratching the back of their neck, "what does it look like." I say annoyed, "sorry...but I had a question.."

"What." I answer quickly, maybe if I get this over with quick, I can go back to sleep, "what's that?" Kai says pointing to a trapdoor on the ground in-between two counters, there was a sign above it that said 'Pub Underground'

"Uhhhhhhh, nothing it's just a new thing I made." I say nervously..

"Can I see?" She says walking towards the trapdoor, "No." I say quickly

"..."

"..."

"Why?"

"Because."

There was silence, we stared at eachother for about 2 mins before the trapdoor behind me opened and Koii came out of the basement, "....did I interrupt something..?" Koii said closing the trapdoor and walking towards me, "no not really.." I say looking at them and looking back at my mother, "can I just take a look? Please?" She said holding her hands together

"No." I say again for the 2nd time

"Why not? I built this place.." she said walking back to the bar, "because I built the underground...?" I say leaning on the bar

....

"I'm going down there." Kai says after a moment of silence, "Mom no"

Before I can do anything Kai opens the trapdoor and jumps down the ladder, "Fuck-"

I quickly hop over the bar and run to the Trapdoor jumping down and seeing my mother walking past a curtin, "WHAT THE FUCK!?" I hear them say as I walk past the curtin, "...uh....I can explain?" I say nervously, "why is there a strip club here? Why did you build this? DO YOU AND KOII WORK HERE!?"

".....yes and no....."

"What do you mean 'yes and no'?" She says putting a hand on their hip

"Koii and I work behind the bar," I say pointing at a small bar built in the wall, "I hired a few workers to work the actual job, a few old friends of mine..."

"Like who?"

"Eden, Harlem, and.....uhhh....The third one was supposed to be Martin, but I don't think he wants to work here anymore.." I say listing off friends who applied for the job

"Eden? The enderman that used to work at the pub with me and your father? The same one who dated Martin?" Kai says leaning on a pillar near her, "yeah, Harlem is the wither that I used to date" I say looking towards the ladder after hearing a noise, "oh that girl....The one that looked like a whore..." Kai said rolling her eyes

"She wasn't a whore mom..." I say crossing my arms

"She sure looked like one, she always wore the most exposing clothes, and the shortest skirts or shorts" Kai says turning around and walking to a seat, as they sit down I hear the Trapdoor open, I look at the ladder and see Koii climbing down the ladder, "hey, uhh Evan is here" Koii says pointing up the ladder once they hit the bottom, "Hey Shy! I came to ask when my shift is?" Evan says walking toward me

"Right now if you want.." I say sitting down on the ground, "oh...but the sign said closed?"

Oh...did I forget to change the sign? Damn...

Stfu you have no room to talk

"Shy? Shy!" I hear my name and snap out of my thoughts, "yeah? What?" I say looking around, "you zoned out, anyway...I asked if I could sign up?"

"What." I say looking at my mother in disbelief, "what? There's already enough people behind the bar, I have nothing better to do, so let me sign up" she says with a smile on their face

"You know what...just take the fucking book" I say handing the book to her and  leaning on the wall behind me, I close my eyes and relax

This is fucking stressful, talking to people sucks, this last 3 days has been the most stressful thing in my fucking life

Koii POV

Shy has been zoning out a lot lately, ever since I got back....

"Do you think they're okay?" Evan says tapping my shoulder, "they should be? Not sure..." I say sitting next to Shy on the ground, "you guys should go back upstairs and make sure nobody walks in" I say looking at Evan, they nod and turn to the ladder, as they start climbing the ladder Kai follows

Few minutes later

I'm pretty sure he fell asleep...

I was waiting for him to open their eyes and then they started leaning on my shoulder....so I just let them, a few minutes later I decided to bring him to their room, so i then picked them up and walked on the stage to behind a curtin blocking a door, I walked through the curtin and walked to a door, I opened the door and saw a ladder, then start climbing the ladder without making him hit their head, once I hit a trapdoor and open it I climb out to where we're behind the bar, I walk to the other trapdoor and jump down, then walk to the bed

Once I place them on the bed I lay down on the end of it, "damn, you are light as hell" I say before closing my eyes and putting my arm over them

I hear a shuffle before feeling a slight tug on my arm, I move my arm and open my eyes, when I do I see Shy half asleep, "hey" I say looking at them and leaning on my arm, "you should change out of those clothes, it doesn't look like you've changed in a while"

"...probably...." he says scooting to the edge of the bed, "I'll be back...." They say standing up and slightly limping to the gate to the storage room, "okay be careful, don't fall down the stairs" I say before laying back down

Few minutes later(again)

I hear the gate open and slow footsteps towards me, I sit up a bit and look at where the noise is coming from

I see Shy wearing a slightly oversized shirt with shorts and knee high socks, "hey weirdo, welcome back" I say laying back down, "hey..." he says as they continue to walk towards the bed, then I feel a weight next to me, then a hand on my arm, I look at Shy to see him with his arms open, seemingly for a hug, and I accept, I hug them and then they pull me down and close his eyes, I then close my eyes and fall asleep
