Ever since we got back from London, Jake's been avoiding me and not only is he avoiding me his avoiding Amber and Edward as well.

One day Billy decided to give me a few months off so that I could spend some time woth my family. He missed Amber and Edward's plays and concerts.

Amber and Edward were playing around in the pool and I was sitting there watching them have fun. I've been thinking about Jake's actions hut soon stopped when Amber came to me.

Amber and Edward were discussing something. They've close ever since they could walk and talk.

Amber and Edward came to me and gave them hugs amd kisses

Amber:mommy when is daddy coming home

Me:I don't know sweety,he'll be here soon

Edward:mommy why has daddy been avoiding us.

That question I couldn't answer to them and it broke my heart.

Me:I don't know love. But I can ask to him tonight ok

Edward and Amber:ok

Me:come on guys let's get you guys in a bath.

I took them for a bath and put their pajamas on. I let them watch some cartoons while I got dinner started. I was making macoroni and cheese because it was Amber and Edward's favourite food.

Dinner was almost ready and Jake still wasn't home. I set the table and called Amber and Edward to come eat.

After we had some dinner I gave tghe kids some ice cream and chocolate cake. I watched some cartoons and saw that it was time to put them in bed.

Me:come on guys time for bed

I carried both of them one on my back and the other on my side. We arrived at Amber's room and tucked her in bed.

Amber:mommy is daddy gonna read me a book tonight

Edwardhyeah mommy is he

Me:no but maybe tomorrow ok

Amber and Edward:promise???

I couldn't promise them that their father would be home to read them a story but I made it anyway

Me:I promise

I said goodnight to Amber and went to put Edward in bed. I said goodnight to Edward and left the room.

I busy cleaning the kitchen and I started crying. Not because Jake wasn't here,but because I was feeling bad for the kids and that I was busy growing weak.

I straightened up and when I finished cleaning the kitchen I went to Jake and I's bedroom to change into my pajamas. I came back downstairs amd watched four episodes of lab rats, Adventure Time, Johnny Test, Regular Show and Grojband.

It was about 3am and Jake still wasn't at home.  I was about to go check up on the kids and go to bed when Jake came home.

Jake:hey,why are you still up

I just looked at him,rolled my eyes and walked away

Jake:Tammy what's wrong

Me:why have you been avoiding us.

Jake:what are you talking about

Me:Jake ever since we came back from London,you've been ignoring us. You missed two of their school plays, their concert and you missed Edward's football game last week!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jake stood there not saying a word

Me:well, explain yourself

Jake:what do you want me to say other than I'm sorry and that I had work to do

Me:for fucks sake Jake, can't you take a few days off from work!!!!

Jake:you know I can't do that

Me:but I had to after you asked me to spend a few days with you guys and look I took a few months off . Do you know how sad the kids were when you weren't at their plays and concerts??? do you know that Edward was crying when he didn't see his daddy there on the field to cheer him up. I keep lying to the kids telling them that you will be here to read them a story, to put them to bed and to spend time with them. And most of all did you know that this was the first time we spoke since we came back from London!!!!!

Amber and Edward were standing behind Jake. I went up to them and hugged them

Me:what's wrong

Edward:you and daddy are fighting

Amber was crying and I picked her up. I tried my best to calm her down but I couldn't because I was crying as well. I tried keeping my tears back so that I could make sure my kids were fine. Edward sat on my other hip and carried them both to bed. They slept in one room so that I wouldn't have to do the same thing in the other room. I layed beside Amber calming her and Edward down.

Once they were asleep, I went to my bedroom to get some rest. When I came in the room I saw Jake sitting at the end of the bed. When he saw me come in he immediately hugged and kissed me

Jake:babe I'm really sorry please forgive me.         I love you and those kids

Me:it doesn't look like you love us Jake

Jake:Tammy I do love you guys please. I'll make it up to you guys I promise. Tell you what I'll take a few weeks off and I'll spend them with you

Me:ok fine I forgive you

Jake:I love you and our kids so much

Me:they love you too

Jake:they?? what about you don't you love me????

Me:I'm messing with you. I do love you

Jake spent the few weeks with us but mostly with the kids. And everything was fine after that
