Sweat dibble down his face. His eyes getting wider. You could see the anger. Then it happened. He lashed out, he hit me. We ran. The swelling was phenomenal. It left a black bruise covering my eye. No wonder she wanted vengeance, I wanted it too.
She came to me last night. We talked, I couldn't help as long as I lived. She still had knife. We wanted to be together, maybe this is was the only way.
Death a beautiful thing. Young forever. Vengeance to give. Your cuts are hidden, your beauty radiated. I wasn't ready, but I had a plan.
She floated like a feather in the wind, beautiful but sad. The words played on my mind. He was going to die and it was my fault. I could imagine the scene. Blood seeping out of the slash across his chest and his last word "Lucy". The police would find his body with. Note next to him. No finger prints on the knife. The perfect crime. One that couldn't fail. My only worry is what happened to the children. So happy, but trapped. Did Lily have a blood thirst? Would she get me?
A tap frightened me. She was here. Had she done it? I had stopped running, was it my turn? I approached the window, heart in my throat. Silence surrounded me. The truth was to be revealed. I wasn't ready.
The wind rushed through my hair. She flickered in front of me. She spoke in riddles. I still didn't know if she had completed the task, but all I felt was the urge to run. An urge I had never had before. The hunt was on. My friend was the hunter. I was the game.
