"YOU BETRAYED ME AND I KNOW THAT YOULL NEVER FEEL SORRY FOR THE WAY I HURT" I sing at the top of my lungs as I place the pillows on my bed after doing it, Naturally I would've awoken at 2 pm but today my body seemed to miss the memo and decided to wake up at 8 am ON A SUNDAY
"BUT YOU'RE JUST A TRAITOR" i finish singing changing the song to RBD one of my favorite artists since I was little. I pick the clothes up from my closet floor making and toss it onto the hamper as SALVAME plays in the background
"BEBE" my older brother Diego screams from the bottom of the stairs, Bebe has been my nickname forever since I'm the youngest of 5. We have my oldest brother Manuel, After its the twins my Brother Jorge and Isabella, afterwards its Diego and lastly its me Emilio or BEBE as they call me
"YES" I yelled back heading out the door "que occupas (what do you need)" I ask reaching the top of the staircase
"do you want to go on a canes run," he asks twirling the keys on his fingers. I nod excitedly as I practically fly to the bottom of the stairs "don't get too excited" he says laughing opening the door.
The frosty air hits my face as we step out, the Los Angeles weather has been rather cold and rainy lately which is rare but I love it. As Diego starts driving through the streets of LA I stare out the window taking in the sidewalk lights. Watching them flicker.
"Are you excited about the wedding?" Diego asks me. Our oldest brother Manuel is getting married next weekend and it's all the rave the whole family has been talking about
"I am don't get me wrong... but when mom and dad got deported he became like my second parent and now he's leaving us..." i say tearing up
"Bebe you know he's never gonna leave us, especially you...you're the baby" Diego reassures me petting my head
"DONT PET ME ASSHOLE" I say pouting as my brother just laughs. We shortly arrive to Cane's and let me tell you it was packed
"WHY DO PEOPLE COME TO THIS PLACE" I cry as i cross my arms and pout
"hey isn't that jesse" Diego points, I look up to see my ex-boyfriend standing in line with the blonde girl who always made me doubt (See what I did there). Jesse wasnt a bad boyfriend he was honestly so sweet but simply we decided to leave it off as he was going to college and simply I was still in high school.
We get off the car and start walking to the restaurant
"if it isnt my little emi" jesse says as his eyes make contact with mine
"hey jesse" i smile at him. He comes up to me and hugs me picking me up and spinning me around. He puts me down looking at me smiling
"mhmm" i hear someone clear their throat, I turn to see diego and the blonde girl standing there awkwardly
"Diego" jesse says as he fist bumps my brother
"jesse" diego says as he returns the bump
"guys this is my cousin luna...shes visiting from oregon" He introduces us
She waves and gives us a smile as we repeat the same action
"order for Diego" I hear someone say over the intercome
"thats me let me go get the food" diego says excusing himself and leaving me with luna and jesse
"im going to head to the restroom, excuse me"luna says as she leaves too leaving me and jesse standing infront of eachother
"so.." I say standing there awkwardly crossing my feet and biting my lip
"you know... you shouldnt be shy with me" he says as he caresses my cheek
I look down. letting my blood flow to my cheeks; making me blush
"i know" i mumble, he just laughs and hugs me
"ready to go" diego says coming out with the food and drinks. I nod as I move away from jesses grip
"Bye Diego, Bye bebe" jesse winks at me and hugs me goodbye. I hug him and turn around bumping into someone, almost causing me to fall since my feet got tangled but I feel a arm wrap around me
"oh my god Im so sorry" I say looking up at the guy. Hes so handsome, Jet black curls, the most beautiful brown eyes
"Its okay, Im sorry I was in the way" he says flashing a smile at me arm wrapped around my waist
"whats your na-" he was gonna ask me until I feel someone grab me pulling me back
"are you okay" jesse asks me as he glares at the guy, pressing me body as close as he can to his
"yeah" I blush and move his arm from me
"well thank you and thank you...bye" I say looking at both guys and walking towards the car blushing extremely hatd
"WAIT I DIDNT CATCH YOUR NAME" I hear the guy yell
"EMILIO" I yell as I turn to look at him
He smiles as I get in the car I hear him yell "JOEL" I smile and close the door
I turn to look at my brother who is glaring at me
"what" i say shyly
"we are gonna have a talk when we get home"Diego says as he reaches in the bag getting fries

We get home and there they were the love birds and the twins
"BEBE" isabella comes running to me hugging me tightly
"bella... Cant...breathe" I say as i try to grasp air
"okay youre sister youre gonna kill the kid" Manuel removes her off me as I try to catch my breathe
"dont forget we have a talk pending" diego says as he takes the food to the table
I gulp and nod heading to the table where all my siblings were sitting down as today is family dinner which is a tradition that we have ever since our parents got deported 10 years ago when I was 6. My brother manuel 19 at the time took charge and became our legal guardian. He left his whole future behind to take care of us they all took turns taking care of me. Luckily hes a really successful realtor and he bought the house my parents bought when they first came to LA.
"so bebe you wanna tell us who was that guy at canes" Diego says
fuck my life i think as manuel and jorge look at me while isabella and diana squeal in excitement
