-3rd person POV-
The new recruits awake to the sound of nerve-shattering alarms. A robotic female voice begins to talk over the alarms.
"Welcome new recruits to your evaluation and initiation course. This system is designed to test your survival and critical thinking skills in Aeon City. Please adjust the volume and do not move. Welcome to the Resistance."
Not being able to hear, a petite recruit with should length straight blonde hair breaks open the nearest control panel. She then turns a few nobs that increase the volume of the voice over the intercoms.
"She told us not to move," a young male voice pipes up. His dilated pupils look at the petite recruit as she continues to figure out how to turn the alarms off. The other recruits share a nervous look as the petite girl stops at nothing to turn off the alarms.
After what seems like half an hour, the petite girl turns off the alarms and switches on the lights. She then closes the control panel and begins to put her combat boots on. The other recruits stare at her as she continues to ignore them.
The sound of fast-paced steps alert everyone in the room. Within seconds, all new recruits have hidden and are prepared to attack if needed. Luckily for them, Hayden walks into the room and pulls the Resistance bandanna off of his face.
"Who is responsible for this," Hayden asks loud enough for everyone to hear. Knowing that they are not in trouble, the recruits slowly emerge from underneath their beds. Hayden scans their faces intently as all recruits remain silent.
"I did," the petite blonde replies with confidence. Hayden turns to face her and hands her a Resistance bandanna.
"Good job," he retorts, "knowing how to disable a system will come in handy if you're ever captured by a Scarecrow." Hayden then turns to face the rest of the new recruits. "This system is meant to make you think on your feet, recruits. If you can't do that then you won't be able to survive a Scarecrow attack. Your physical training starts now. Get dressed and meet me outside this room in five minutes." Without another word, Hayden leaves and goes to give this same speech to the group of recruits in the room across the hall.
