Back Together (Jake and Rowan)

First Day

Rowan's POV
We are going to college, finally. I woke up, and put on my jeans, my blue top, with my boots. I walked downstairs, and seen Dad in the kitchen, in his uniform. I said, " Do you really have to work?"

He said, " Yes, I'm sorry Rowan. I really wanted to see you off to college, but I have to go."

I said, " Alright. Love you."

He said, " Love you, sweetie. Have fun."

I nodded, and he left. I nodded, and went to the living room. I grabbed my bags, and my phone buzzed.

I looked at it, and it is a message from Monkeyman, I thought he was dead. Dunbar died.

I opened it, and it says, 'We are watching. #theforest.'

I put my phone in my pocket, and heard a car horn. I walked outside, and locked the front door. I went over to Hailey's car, and put my bags on the back. I got in the passenger side, and she said, " Hey, is your dad meeting us there?"

I said, " No. He is working."

She started driving, and said, " Okay. Elisia told me, she has a ride. So, we are heading to college."

I said, " I can't believe we are finally in college."

She said, " I know. It's exciting."

I said, " Yeah, with the whole Monkeyman stuff, it was crazy."

She said, " Yep. I am glad that is over."

I said, " Yeah."

So, she hasn't been getting messages. Maybe it is just a late message or something after Dunbar's death.

An hour later, we arrived at college. We got out of the car, and got our bags. We got our dorm keys, and went to building F.

I said, " I wonder who is bringing Elisia."

Hailey said, " I have no idea. She wouldn't say, who is."

I said, " Okay. Well, I guess we choose our beds first."

She nodded, and we walked into our dorm room. There is three beds, a fireplace, and a window, with a seat. I said, " Alright, I call that one, closer to the window."

Hailey said, " Okay, I call this one over here. Elisia, can have the one next to mine. We are roomies!"

She hugged me, and I said, " Yeah."

I closed the door, and we started putting everything away. Elisia texted me, and it read.

E- Which building?

R- Building F. Dorm 109.

E- Okay, be there soon.

I said, " Elisia will be here soon. I'm surprised you convinced her to be our roommate."

Hailey said, " It was pretty easy. I told her that you and Jake are done, and don't have feelings for each other, so she agreed. She is sorry about how she acted when she found out."

I said, " I know. It was a shock. But we are over."

She said, " Good. Now, we can look forward to what we are going to do."

I smiled, and someone knocked on the door. I said, " Must be Elisia."

I walked over to the door, and opened it. There stood Elisia, and Jake. I said, " Jake."

He said, " Rowan."
