Back Together (Jake and Rowan)

We can't be Together

Rowan's POV 

   I said, " Jake." 

  He said, " Rowan."

  Elisia said, " Sorry, I told Hailey that Jake offered to help me settle in. I thought she told you, Ro."

  I turned around, and said, " No, she didn't."

   Hailey shrugged and said, " I forgot."

   I rolled my eyes, and said, " Well, Come in. Since you weren't here, we already chose our beds. So, you get this one beside Hailey."

  Jake, and Elisia walked into the room, and I closed the door. 

  I went to my bed, and finished putting things away on my side of the room. 

  Two hours later, we all finished putting everything away, and Jake said, " How about we go out to dinner to celebrate?"

   Elisia said, " Sure. Hailey, Rowan wanna come?"

   Hailey said, " Sure." 

   I said, " I think, I will just stay in, and order some pizza."

 Elisia said, " Okay. Well, if you need anything let us know."

  I nodded, and they left. I sighed, and ordered some pizza. I went to the bathroom, and got a shower, and then put on my pjs. 

   I sat down on my bed, and scrolled through my insta. I took a picture of the dorm fireplace, and added a filter, then posted it. 

   I sighed, and then someone knocked on the door. I opened it, and it is the pizza guy. I said, " How much?"

   He said, " 15."

  I gave him the money, and he gave me the pizza. I walked into my room, and closed the door. 

  I sat down on my bed, turned on a movie on my laptop, and ate some pizza. 

       After I finished the pizza, and the movie, I grabbed my jacket and put it on. I walked outside of the dorm and walked outside of the building. 

  I walked around campus, and someone said, " Rowan."

   I turned around, and seen Jake. I said, " What do you want?"

  He said, " I wanted to talk to you."

  I said, " I am pretty sure Elisia won't like that." 

   He said, " I don't care what she thinks. Look, I love you, Rowan. You are 19, now. We can actually be together."

  I said, " I don't want to hurt Elisia again, and I don't want to cause any bad blood between you, and Elisia."

  He said, " What is so wrong now? All because of Elisia. She will be fine. I can't help it, if I am still in love with you, Rowan."

  He grabbed my hand, and I said, " I love you, too. But I can't do this. Not right now. Each time we are together, someone seems to be spying on us. We can't be together."

   He said, " Dunbar is dead. No longer able to hurt you, or spy on you. Plus, he was blackmailing you for dating someone over 18."

  I said, " Jake."

  He said, " We are meant to be together, and no matter what I will wait for you."

  I kissed his lips, and said, " I don't know, if I can see you, and not be able to do that."

  He smiled, and said, " Rowan, I am  glad, you feel the same about that. I guess, I should tell you, I am moving closer to here."

  I said, " I am glad. Although, I am sure I can sneak out of my dorm to see you."

  I smiled, and said, " I should get back to the dorm."

  He said, " Goodnight, Ro."

  I said, " You don't get to call me that, and goodnight."
  

  He smiled, and pecked my cheek. I walked back to the dorm building, and went upstairs to my dorm. 

  I walked inside of my dorm room, and seen Elisia, and Hailey asleep. I sighed, and went to the bathroom, then I brushed my teeth. 

   After I brushed my teeth, I walked into the room, and laid down in my bed, and soon fell asleep.
