Light

Katara's Pov

With all the pride in me, I got up from my table and went up to the cash register. As I payed for my 2 jasmine teas which were made so finely it blew my taste buds off. I could feel Zuko's stare bore into me. Then with all my effort I asked him if he wanted to hangout. I could see his pink blush, but surprisingly his uncle shoved Zuko until he could summon the voice to say yes. 

Time skip

It was midnight, As Katara headed for the shop she could see Zuko finishing his hair. Then she jump scared him which apparently scared him cause he released a high shrill scream. It made her laugh hard. He quickly hid his cheeks saying it's not funny on repeat. When he calmed down Katara told him about her favorite food shop. Even though it was very late, it looked like the day just started with lights ignited everywhere the eye could see. As she was slurping her noodles. She could see him studying her like she was a fine painting. Then he abruptly said "You have a big appetite for a woman" which almost made her choke on her noodles. Then she replied, "Says you red dumpling", which he chuckled at. 

To make some conversation Katara asked him " What do you like to do in your free time" which he just said "nothing", Then she asked curiously "What did you do before you came to Ba sing se?" which he replied tensely "We traveled a lot" In return she asked a simple why. He said in an excuse that he was part of a travelling circus. Which made her laugh out loud. He then said he juggled, which her laugh even louder at. She randomly picked 5 things and looked at him with a curious look which again made him blush like an anime girl. At his attempt to juggle it made him look like a crack head. Then they both started laughing crazily.

Katara then asked him if he wanted to go to her favorite spot, which he obliged. As she was dragging him by his sleeve she could feel his muscle. Which made her blush, luckily he didn't notice. When they arrived she was so disappointed that there were no lights, Zuko could see the disappointment on her face so he put his hands on Katara's face and whispered in her ear almost in a seducing way, to close her eyes. 

Katara's Pov

I felt a brief amount of heat pass through me then it stopped, he then told me to look. As my eyes unraveled I saw the beauty of all the lights everywhere.  I confusingly said out loud "How did this happen". My face was full of awe, when I went to look at Zuko for any hint of an answer I could see he was smiling. As we were gazing at the lighten up lanterns on the water. I could feel Zuko's fingers intertwin with mine. Then we both were looking at each other, as I was about to say thank you for the food, He then kissed me on the lip quickly. It momentarily shocked me, then he came back up to my lips as if to to do more, then I stepped back. He asked "What's wrong", I just said it was complicated, then I said, "Thank you for your time". Then I ran away.

Zuko Pov

Did I do something wrong? This was going on repeat as I started running back home, all I could think about was her. When I arrived at our house, I quickly ran inside, feeling hot tears almost run down me. Then uncle asked me "How was the date". I slammed the door, then opened a bit and said it was nice quietly. Even with the door closed I could hear my uncle chuckle.
