The world was a vast place.

It held many mysteries, many secrets, many unknown things that left the human mind to wonder relentlessly and endlessly about what could be.

Because of this curiosity for things of the unknown, many have made groundbreaking discoveries throughout the time. New places, species, far more advanced medical treatments, armory, devices, and all of the likes. Discoveries that were both good and bad. It led civilization in general to prosper, to become modernized.

It all made life easier than it was before.

However, it is inevitable that there would be times where no matter how many great minds are gathered, there are still some things that are going to be left undiscovered, to be left unseen.

Many secrets have stayed that way for a lengthy amount of time, still hidden from the many eyes that wander about. One will not be able to take note of it if they don't look too closely, or pay much attention.

But there are also rare ones, rare secrets that have been invisible to most for a long period of time, with the intent of unveiling itself in the right time, right place, and in front of the rightful people.

This story started with that.

It started with four girls gathered by destiny, and a secret that has endured centuries.

These four will uncover things that are beyond the perception of today's norm.

These four will carry a burden. A responsibility heavier than mountains, placed on their backs.

These four will meet vicious enemies, life-long friends, and loved ones.

And most especially, these four are coming home.

Somewhere in a quiet apartment located in the middle of Seoul, a young man in his 20s stared at the calm scenery outside the window. He brought the cup he was holding up to his lips, occasionally taking sips from his warm tea.

Behind him, he could vaguely hear the faint and rapid clacking of fingers on a keyboard. He turned around, rolling his eyes at the concentrated back of his sister.

"You know you should be studying instead, right?"

The clacking noises briefly paused. The girl turned around and glanced at him. She nodded and merely shrugged before going back to her work.

"Yah, don't you have an Astrobiology test tomorrow?"

The girl stopped typing and huffed. She turned around in her swivel chair again, this time her body now fully facing her brother. "Chanhyuk-ah, I swear this is also related to that, except it's like, a hundred times more interesting and complex."

Chanhyuk snorted. "As if Astrobiology in itself isn't already interesting and complex enough."

"Suhyun, all I see on your computer right now are weird articles about. . .well, weird stuff." He pointed out.

Suhyun stayed silent and stared at him for a good few seconds, before slumping in her seat. "It's just something I discovered a few months ago, hasn't left my mind ever since."

"And what exactly did you discover?"

"Like I said, it's a little complex, and it's kind of a long story." Suhyun scratched her nape.
