"Alright, thank you for delivering the message to me. I'll be going now." I bowed and run-walked to our library.

I arrived at our library about a minute later. I knocked at the door. "Mama, It's Y/N."

I heard a faint,"Come in."

"Where did you go little one?" Mom asked right off the bat.

"I went to the garden, Mom." I answered. Mama Rika was reading a book. Looks interesting.
It piqued my interest.

"What's the book about, Mama?" She looked at me and smiled.

"It's a book about magic, Y/N. You'll be reading this soon." She then went back to reading.

I see.

"Hm... Why is your clothes dirty?" Mom asked me while sipping on her coffee.

"Uh.. I saw Elaine, Jina's daughter- wounded." I don't know whether to tell them the whole story or just let it go.

"Oh, the green haired child of Jina. But... how does it concern you and your clothes?" Mama asked after Mom. As I was about to reply, a knock on the door interrupted me.

"Who is it?" Mom asked and Mama's just listening.

"Ma'am Shainrah and Ma'am Rika, some of your awaited guests have arrived." The maid spoke.

"I see. Please tell them we'll be arriving there shortly." Mom replied and stood up along with Mama. "Gladly." Replied the maid.

"Change your clothes, Dear Y/N. I'll call some maids to bring a new set, just like the one you're wearing." Mama Rika kissed my forehead. "Follow us to the ballroom, okay?" With that, they left.

A maid walked in. How the fuc- freak.
How the freak are they so fast?

"Just as Ma'am Rika requested, here's your new set of clothes." The maid, Jika, bowed to me. Jika is Jina's twin.

(I drew the picture below- this is how I'm portraying Y/N right now but she just looks a lil' bit younger than this. Also, It's still up to you about how you'll portray Y/N.)

I ordered the maid to wait for me outside. After changing, I went out and thanked Jika.

I'm now walking towards our ballroom. Then, I stumbled upon Elaine. She's sitting at the hallway, alone. I decided to call her.

"Elaine!" She let out a squeak and looked towards the direction I'm in.

"Mis- Y/N. Um... Hi?" She stood up in a rush and waved.

"Hello. Are you okay now?"

"Y- yes, Y/N. Thank you very much for helping me earlier." She looked away with flushed cheeks. Hm.. now that I look closer.. she looks cute. Green hair as green as tree leaves. Her eyes as brown as wood. She looks so... Peaceful. Like nature.

(A/N : I'll draw Elaine and the other characters in the future. Wink wonk.)

"You're welcome. By the way, why are you alone in the hallway?" I can't help but ask her.

"I- I have nothing to do in the maid's chambers so... I just wandered around the mansion." She replied. Oh.

"Is that so?" She nodded.

"Well then, why don't you come with me to the ballroom." I suggested.

She looked at me with widened eyes. "N- no! I look pathetic and- and I- I'm not a guest!!!" She frantically answered.

"But you're my friend now. Aren't we friends?"
I look at her questioningly.

She looked reluctant. "I-" She sighed.
"Yes, we're friends."

"Well then, let's go. Shall we?" I put out a hand for her to reach. She smiled gently.

"What about my clothes, Y/N?" I didn't think about that. The guests won't mind her clothes but I'll just lend her my clothes. If she's okay with it.

"I'll lend you my clothes." She looked at me again with wide eyes.

"N- no! Inviting me is already too much!" I looked at her with a bored look.

"Nothing is too much. Now go. I'll wait for you here. Tell your mom what I told you." She looked at me defeatedly and nodded. Then she walked away. I smiled to myself and waited.

A/N : That concludes "Birthday and Friends"! Sorry about the not so long chapter though, I'll try and write longer chapters. The next chapter will still be about the party though!
And... That's all for now!
