Your Encanto (Camilo x y/n)

Trapped

"Oh what the hell" you groaned as you looked ahead of you. A large hole blocked your path between you and the entrance to Bruno's cave

"Here. Look" Mirabel said, pointing to a rope positioned near her, seemingly attached to a higher rock on the other side

"You don't seriously expect us to swing across the pit of doom, right?" You questioned, looking down into the endless black hole beneath you

"What other choice do we have?"

"Walking back down the stairs" you mumbled

"What? So you can fall off again? You honestly have a better chance of surviving this than walking back down" Camilo stated next to you. You shot him a glare

"Fine. Let's get this over with so that we can get to that vision and get out of here. I've got sand in places there shouldn't be sand"

Mirabel gently tugged on the rope, making sure it was secure before slowly walking backwards and letting out a deep sigh. You watched as she then ran, jumping right before the edge of the cliff, and swung herself over the opposite edge

"Woo hoo!" She exclaimed stomping her foot down in excitement. As she did, though, the rock beneath her foot let loose, falling all the way down to the bottom of the cave and landing with a loud thud

Luckily, she had jumped back just in time. She looked back at you and Camilo before nervously chuckling

"Come on you two!" She yelled across, her voice echoing throughout the rooms walls

You shakily grabbed the rope and started walking backwards. Your heart was racing and your hands seemed increasingly sweaty against the rope

"Calm down, y/n, I can't catch you if you fall down there" Camilo said, glancing back at you before returning his gaze to the pit

"Gee thanks Camilo that's really reassuring" you sarcastically shot back. "Here" you handed him the rope. "You go first"

"Uhh, okay? Are you sure?" You nodded. Once Camilo had the rope he backed up before rushing towards you, turning into Luisa, and picking you up in one swift swoop

You flew over the hole, landing next to Mirabel on the other side. Once there, Camilo shifted back into himself and let you go

"See, now was that so hard?" He smugly grinned

"It's easier when you can shape shift into someone with super strength" you stated rolling your eyes

"I turned into Luisa because she's stronger, yes, but I don't actually get her super strength power just by turning into her, that's not how my gift works" Camilo stated bluntly

"Okay okay you can talk about what you can and cannot do with your gift later, Camilo, but first we've got a vision to find" Mirabel said, already heading off into the direction of the cave

You and Camilo both gave each other a look before following after her. Inside was a tunnel were these stone formations of Bruno were protruding from the walls. Some even having rats come out of the noses of the statues. You felt a slight shiver go down your spine

'This was creeepy'

At the end of the tunnel was a circular door. The three of you exchanged glances before nervously entering

Once inside, you found it to be quite...dark?

Granted, you didn't really know what to expect, but it still surprised you to find that it was nearly pitch black

'Man it must suck to have this room'

"Uhh can you guys see anything?" Mirabel asked. Just as you were about to answer her, the circular door slammed shut, leaving you three trapped in the now pitch black room

"No, no I cannot see anything" you stated blankly, annoyed at how this has been going so far

You tried walking forward, but ran into Camilo instead. "Sorry-" you mumbled before he quickly cut you off

"wait, look, what's that stuff?" Camilo said pointing towards...well you had no idea what he was pointing towards because you couldn't SEE

"I know you aren't pointing towards something like we can see anything in this darkness" you stated. He huffed in response

"Look towards the middle, there's some sort of glowing green things"

"That must be Bruno's vision!" Mirabel exclaimed, sounding hopeful once more. The three of you made your way to the middle, frantically digging through the sand and pulling out all of the pieces

Slowly, Mirabel started to put some of them together. "Wait, guys, I think I'm starting to see something!"

"What do you see?" You stated in excitement.

"Uhh Mira" Camilo said uneasily.

"Wait one second" she said, grabbing another green piece

"Mirabel-" Camilo tried again

"Almost got ittt" Mirabel said again, focusing on getting the pieces to fit together

"Mirabel!!"

"What Camilo!"

"The cave!" And with that, the cave started cracking, rumbling, and falling apart

"Hurry grab all the pieces!" Mirabel yelled, quickly grabbing pieces and throwing them into her bag. She adjusted her glasses and looked up, her eyes growing wide as she realized the cave was about to collapse in

"We gotta get outta here!" She yelled grabbing the two of you and making a run for the exit. You almost made it out of the door before-

"Wait!" You exclaimed, frantically getting out of her hold. "There's one more piece!" You yelled back, running as quickly as you possibly could towards the sand piling up with a glowing green piece still in the center of it

"Y/n wait!" Camilo yelled, running after you. You frantically dug, trying as best as you could to grab that final piece, when you finally gave up digging and just plunged your entire arm into the sand, grabbing ahold of the final piece with an awarding smile on your face

That smile didn't last long however, as you looked up, noticing the one strong and sturdy ceiling now falling right down towards you

Before making impact, though, you were pushed to the side. You clutched the piece close to your chest as to not lose it as you looked up at Camilo who was overtop of you, his curly hair dangling in his face

Suddenly there was banging on the other side of the door

"Y/n!! Camilo!!" It was Mirabel. She must've made it outside of the room before it shut on itself

"We're okay!" You yelled back from the other side of the wall. You and Camilo slowly rose to your feet, helping each other up in the process. Around you, which was once a cave with a pit of sand in the middle, was now a jungle of huge rocks and boulders stacked upon each other. The door, however, was completely caved in, with rocks concealing all of what it used to be

"Don't go anywhere I'll be right back with Luisa!" Mirabel yelled before running off

"Not like we had anywhere else to go" you mumbled, still holding the green piece in your hand. You held it up, looking at it closely

"This had better be worth it"
