(y/n) pov

"Okay! I'm done!" Ryota yells, handing Daigo his completed card.

Daigo looks at the piece of paper and blushes, looking away.

"What is it?" I ask, peering over his shoulder at it. And blushing. And looking away too.

"We're done too!" the rest of Ryota's friends echo, handing us their cards. Daigo and I look at those, and blush even more. Literally all of them had Daigo and me on them, either holding hands or with a heart in between us.

"Guys what is this?? I swear, did yall plan it or smthin-" I say, blushing still.

"No we didn't! We just wanna see our favourite ship sail!" one of Ryota's friends exclaims.

"wHa-wHaT sHip-" Daigo stammered, still blushing too.

"You and (y/n) of course!" Ryota says, and all his friends cheer.

"Uh uh uh why don't we play with the cats while they're still here?" I suggest, changing the topic real quick.

"Yeah, that's a great idea!" Daigo agrees too fast, obviously relieved.

  <Insert random playing with cats>

"Oh yeah, one more thing," Ryota suddenly says, grabbing our attention, "We still have a puppet show to perform, right, guys?"

"Yeah! We learnt it from Ken!" the pig-tail girl replies.

  <Random puppet show adventure>

"It's the end of the story, but before that, there's the grand finale!" Ryota yelled.

On cue, Ryota, who was holding a puppet that looked suspiciously like Daigo and the pig-tail girl , who was holding a puppet that looked suspiciously like me, smushed their hands together, making the two puppets kiss-

"AHHHHHHHHH GUYSSSS WHATTTTTTTT!" I practically scream, slapping my hands over my face to cover the huge patch of red now plastered across it.

I peek through my hands to see that Daigo has pulled his bandana really low, so low it almost covers his cheeks. ALMOST. But not exactly, I can still see that scarlet red lingering there.

"Okay, guys, visiting hours are over, it's time to leave!" a nurse tells us, saving us from any further humiliation. THANK YOU.

Daigo and I quickly scramble out of the playroom, waving to Ryota and his friends. As soon as we step out the hospital doors, we both let out a sigh of relief. I check my watch and see that it's about time to eat dinner, so I suggest doing just that, and we decide to go to the nearby Japanese restaurant to have our meal.

We just order some sushi because, well, cake is filling (:p). Over dinner, we just talk about random things, like the beyclub and school, deliberately avoiding the topic of Ryota and his friends' little 'ship'. Things aren't as awkward now anymore, thank goodness. Sheesh, who would've thought that Ryota was part of the Shippers Gang?

Daigo pov:                                                                                                                                                                                    When we exit the restaurant after eating, (y/n) runs ahead and stops for a while at a bakery, but by the time I catch up, still walking, (y/n) is already done with whatever she was doing there. Checking out the products? Buying something? No idea. Anyway, she falls into stride with me and we start the walk back to my house, where she's staying for the night. The full moon shines bright, the only thing in the sky on this cloudless night. We stare at it. Its light looks beautiful, against the otherwise dark sky. Suddenly I know this is where I have to do it.

I tap (y/n) on her shoulder, and she turns to face me. I take a really deep breath to calm my nerves. Now or never, Daigo.

"Hey, (y/n)? I just wanted to say... I... I've loved you for very long now, and I wanna ask you... do you... do you wanna be my girlfriend?" I ask quietly, immediately feeling heat rush up to my cheeks.

I watch (y/n) carefully. Her eyes widen and her eyebrows shoot up. Her mouth opens, closes, opens, closes. She doesn't feel like that. She just doesn't wanna hurt your feelings.

  "Nevermind- it'sokayifyoudon'tfeelthesamewayforgetIevenaskedimsosorry-" I stammer out.

"W-wait! No! Yes! I mean, HELL YES I WANNA BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND PLEASE!" (y/n) screams, almost barreling me over with her hug.

I can't help it. I grin like an idiot, even after she finally releases me. She grabs my hand and we walk like that, hand in hand, under the beautiful full moon, back to my house.

  My everything.

(y/n) pov:                                                                                                                                                                                      OMGG! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT JUST HAPPENED! But anyway, when we get to Daigo's house, I light a candle, stick it into the double-chocolate-chip cookie I bought for him at that bakery, and present it to him.

"Here, since we couldn't have a candle just now!" I say, beaming at him.

He breaks into another one of those really big smiles, like the one he had on on the way back.

  "Thanks, (y/n)."

"Make a wish! Just write it on this scrap of paper!" I tell him, passing him paper and a pen.

Daigo finishes writing, folds the paper, and is just about to blow out the candle, when a shooting star shoots right across the sky.

"Hey! Look! A shooting star! That means your wish will have twice the chance of coming true! So it better have been a good one," I say, pointing at the sky.

Daigo just smiles, closes his eyes for a while, and blows out the candle. He splits the cookie in half, and passes me one. After finishing off the cookie, he says, "I kinda wanna do some late-night reading rn, you in, (y/n)?"

  I nod. "Definitely."

We snuggle close to each other, making ourselves comfortable in his small reading corner, resting on pillows and cushions, before pulling out our phones to read some Wattpad. After what seemed like a few hours or less, I look away from my phone, to see Daigo already asleep. I smile. Aww...

"Happy Birthday, Daigo..." I whisper, kissing his cheek.

Just then, I notice a scrap of paper lying on the floor. Curious, I pick it up and unfold it.

"I wish to be with (y/n) forever."

I recognise it as the scrap of paper I'd given Daigo to write his birthday wish on just now.

I can't help but smile wider.

  My everything.
