Ch1 The meeting
The light wind blew through the leaves on the palm trees on a hot summer night. The waves of the ocean were crashing peacefully on the shore. Bonfires were crackling, and weenies were roasting. It was a warm evening. The sound of chatter could be heard a close distance away from a certain bonfire.
Around the bonfire sat many close friends. Most were pro-surfers, others, girl-friends or boy-friends of them. They all lived in Hawaii, but came to HB for a competition and to celebrate together after. But one young man sat alone. He was a rookie pro-surfer, but best out of them all, Trent Oahu.
He had messy dark brown hair that barely went past his ears. His eyes were a deep emerald with a hint of brown. The fire of the bonfire made his light Hawaiian tanned skin shine. He lifted his jacket hood up and looked at the barely starry sky.
"I'm going to the bathroom." Trent said. The other surfers just nodded and cuddled closer to their dates.
Trent walked toward the bathrooms passed the bike lane. On the stairs up to the bathroom was a young girl. Her face was invisible because of her beach wavy, long brunette hair surrounding it. Trent went to get a closer look and gently lifted her hair away from her face.
Suddenly, round, bright green eyes flashed toward Trent. He flinched and took a step back. The girl got up and glared at Trent. Trent, embarrassed put his hands up in defense.
"Sorry...I uh. Saw you there and I was worried." Trent said.
The girl widened her eyes, looked down for a second, as if in disbelief. "Nobody cares about me. Stop lying." and with that she walked down the stairs, and sprinted off down the bike lane. Trent followed her with his eyes until she was out of sight, then remembered he had to go to the bathroom and walked up the stairs.

Sky Roden has taken care of herself since she was seven years old. She lived on the beach, hidden under rocks. That was her home, for now.
Even though she was only seventeen, she didn't go to school and worked all day at her job down by the pier at a store called John's Surf shop.
She went toward the bathrooms passed the bike lane and started to walk up the stairs when she remembered what happened last night. She cussed and thought /why the hell did I have to collapse on the stairs only for some random guy to find me? I could have been raped...or worse.../ she shivered and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

"Hey Sky! Early to work as usual." said another employee at John's surf shop.
Sky looked at him and felt disgust. "Seriously Timmy, I don't like you, stop talking to me."
"What's wrong babe? Something troubling you?" Timmy asked.
"Don't worry about it. Just get out of my life."
"Oh, harsh." Timmy smirked.
"Knock it off Timmy, there is a customer at the front looking like he needs help." A middle-aged man said. He had long wavy brown hair that went to his shoulders along with light facial hair, and a slight muscular build.
"John, what are you doing here?" Sky asked happily.
"I'm the owner, why else wouldn't I be here?" John chuckled. Sky looked up to John like a son would his father. He was the nicest man she knew. "Oh Sky, there was a new order that just came in today for a Local Motion, go in the back and get it ready. The young
man's supposed to pick it up today."
"Yes sir!" *Wow a Local Motion? That's pretty expensive I wonder if the guy is going to be a pro*. Sky walked to the back of the store, where all the surfboards were stashed. It was a surfers dream to be able to have all of them because John's surf boards were the best. He hand made all of them; beautifully done. Professional surfers came in all the time.
"Sky! He wants it waxed!" Yells John from the register.
"Yes sir!" Sky grabs the wax cube and puts the board on the wooden table, built for surfboards especially. In a forward and back position, she waxes the surf board.
"Woah, hey I can wax it myself, John was just kidding." A young man said.
Sky puts a piece of hair behind her ear without realizing she has wax on her hands. "Dammit" She says under her breathe.
"Don't worry! It's fine, if you already started it and everything."
"No, I don't really care, I just got wax in my hair that's all." Sky says.
"Sorry..." The young man looks at Sky, and says, "You look oddly familiar, do I know you?"
"I..." Sky looks at the teenager and turns beet red. *Its the freaking guy from yesterday! He totally saw me at one of my bad moments...he cannot find out who I am!* She quickly turns around and says, "I don't know you."
"I see, well I'll just be going now. Thanks for waxing it." Trent says, grabs the board and leaves confused.
