THESE EVENTS OCCUR AFTER THE EVENTS OF EPISODE 6x15. BONNIE HAS JUST RETURNED AND CAROLINE HAS JUST SHUT HER HUMANITY OFF. ALSO, NONE OF THE EVENTS IN "THE ORGINALS" OCCUR IN THIS FICTION.

"Bonnie?", I whispered in a short gasp. I'm completely speechless, wondering whether my eyes are deceiving me or not.

"One and only!", Bonnie mutters back.

I can't contain himself. I'm just completely lost for words! Can this be true? Can Bon Bon really be back, can she really be standing in front of me.

I finally forced myself to let a word out, almost choking on them. "It- it's you! You came back for me, you came back for us!" Bonnie lets out a laugh while she cries hysterically. It looks as if she couldn't be anymore happy. Wow, I'm in complete awe. This is especially surprising to me because she reached out to me first. She has a countless amount of friends in Mystic Falls! Some of her bonds are strong enough to stretch from childhood, and some are just bonded by her being our heroine and saving our lives numerous times. Anyway, the point is that she could've gone to anyone and said how much she missed them. But instead, she's in the Salvatore house, burning pancakes, for me. She came to see me.

"Screw it, come hug me Bonnie Bennett!", I scream to the top of my lungs. Who would've though I'd be hugging Bonnie Bennett.

She runs over and leaps into my arms, knowing that I was focused enough to catch her. I shake my body, while shaking hers. We hug for a few, but to me, it feels infinite all at the same time. The girl I've been wanting to see for months has just gave me the greatest hug ever. As I look down, I wipe her tears, even though I knows she's strong enough to wipe them her self. She's always been the one to wipe her own tears, pick herself up. Being in that prison world made me appreciate that aspect of her so much more.

"For a second, I thought you were gone forever!", I whispered into in her ear.

"Yeah", she replies, "I thought so too!" She lets out a big smile and giggles. "Where's Elena?"

"Well", I sighed as I begin to tell her the news. "I just got-. I just came back from Liz's funeral, Elena stayed behind."

"Liz, as in Mrs. Forbes Liz?", she replies. Her face had shocked written all over it. "Caroline's mom, basically my mom Liz? No..."

"I'm just as broken up about it, she was one of my only genuine friends.", I tell her while staring at her black expression. I mean, of course I have friends here, especially now that Alaric's back. I'm working for my redemption from being the typical bad guy I once was, and it's so far working great, with Bonnie at least. But Liz always was there for me, and I was always there for her. I mean, she hated that I was a vampire, but she eventually learned to accept. I can say she was one of my actual, genuine friends. I'll never forget her because of that.

"Oh my god, I- oh my god!", her words are all shaken up. "The Liz who picked me up everyday for six years in elementary school? The Liz who threw me my thirteenth birthday surprise party? I- We have to go see Caroline, we have to see her, where is she!?"

"Probably at the church", I replied, "she said she has some personal stuff to work on."

"Well c'mom Damon, I have to go see her. This is my best friend we're talking about, I have to go see her!" She rushes to put turn the stove off.

"Well let's go", he says. "The church isn't too far".

------------------------------------------------------

We arrive at the church and begin to walk up the steps. Bonnie walks in front of me, with the car ride being silent. Damn, all I wanted was for her to come back and now that she's here, we aren't even talking. As she continues up the stairs, I watch her hair bounce. Every single detail I pay attention to. She doesn't deserve this, she's back! She should be happy right now. But the thought of Liz dying, and how hard her best friend must be taking it kills her.

As Bonnie opens the doors, I see a glimpse of Caroline's long blonde hair. She's turned towards the cross on the wall. We can't see her face, but I imagine it's a blank stare.

"Hey, Car", Bonnie starts off. "I know this is the last thing you wanna hear right now, but I'm sorry. I'm sorry about what happened, and that I couldn't be here for you. I'm sorry about everything."

As Bonnie speaks, she continues to walk closer and closer to the end of the church that Caroline is at. "I understand what you're going through. When my Grams died, I was heartbroken, the one woman who basically raised me. But I got through, thanks to you and Elena of course!"

She's almost close enough to reach out and touch her. "And I'll help-", she's immediately cut off when Caroline turns around. Veins pulsing and eyes are bloodshot. Me and Bonnie are both caught off guard. Confused as to what's happening, Caroline would never.

"Save the pep talk for Elena!", Caroline snapped. "I don't need your help or support, because I found a new alternative.", she says with a side smirk confidently.

"Caroline!", Bonnie uttered worryingly, "What did you do?"

"Don't play dumb Bonnie Bennet.", she takes a short pause. "I-"

"Caroline!", Elena storms in a shouts. Without being able to look down the aisle, she runs into Damon. "Damon hey, uh- Caroline turned her humanity off. I don't know where she-" She then squints to look down the aisle. "Is that-"

As she squinted with the door wide open, Caroline uses her vamp speed to rush pass us and leave the church, without finishing her conversation with Bonnie.

"Elena!", Bonnie exclaims.

"Oh my, Bonnie!" she squeals while running to her arms. They place their hands around each other and hold on tight, as if the whole Caroline situation didn't even just happen.

Bonnie then pulls back in a sassy pose and with a confused look on her face. "Wait, when did Caroline turn her humanity off?"
