Chapter 6 - Why?

Louis wouldn't answer his phone, so after waiting for a few minutes I thought that Liam and Zayn had left. I got up and walked back to my locker to grab a book I forgot.
I was so wrong.
Liam and Zayn were still quietly standing there. I walked by, hoping that no one would notice me, but as soon as I passed him, Liam turned his back on me.
"Liam, I can explain!" I cried. "Forget it Belle, I can't believe you did this! Why? I thought we were fine, but instead you had this whole thing behind my back! I can't believe I trusted you!" Before I could say anything else, Liam quickly turned his back, and walked away.
I saw Zayn still standing in front of me. "Belle, I was going to ask you for an explanation, but I think I already know." And with that he took off as well.
Louis ran over when he saw what happened.
He stopped in front of me and quickly wrapped an arm around my shoulders. I leaned forward and sobbed into his shoulder. Louis softly guided us over to a bench. "Shh, Belle it's going to be fine. You'll see. Emily just went to tell the teacher that you will be half an hour late for class, and after that she will find Zayn and explain the whole story to him." I just continued sobbing into his shoulder while he was rubbing my back. I calmed down after a few minutes and gave Louis a final hug. I looked around and saw that we were all alone in the hall. "Come on, let's go to the bakery. Zayn isn't there now and we still have twenty minutes before you're supposed to be in class. It might take your mind off things."
We walked to the bakery without saying anything and when we got there Louis found us a booth at the back of the bakery. "I'll order. What do you want to eat?" He asked. "Just a bagel and some water for me please." "All right, I'll be right back."
While we were silently eating Emily called me.
"I'm sorry Belle. I couldn't find him. Zayn was probably in a classroom or something. You have to be back in five minutes , so you might want to leave the bakery now."
"All right Emily. See you soon. Bye!" I tried to sound happy, but so far I was doing a very bad impression of it. A tear slowly trailed down my cheek. "Don't worry Belle. Everything will work out. You'll see." I turned around and saw Louis standing behind me. "Let's go. We can't be late for school." I said. "Come here." Louis wrapped an arm around me and pulled me closer so that I rested against him. He kept his arm loosely wrapped around me as we walked to school.
We found our classroom and sat down for the end of a boring lecture on ecology. My thoughts constantly drifted off as Zayn kept popping into my head. He probably wouldn't want anything to do with me now.
Hey everyone! Ugh! I miss Zayn so much now that he isn't in 1d anymore. I really didn't feel like writing for a while. Anyway here's a new chapter. ☺️ We always appreciate reviews, so if anyone has any questions please review!
